Alicia's pov
Andrew left as he had a meeting with a client, I am in my room pacing back and forth trying to make a decision, that is when my dad came in, he walked towards my bed sitting on it, the sun rays bouncing off his bald head, his yellow teeth more visible as he spoke: “ personally speaking I would like you not to get married, to him....” pausing making me think he cared for me for a split second but I came back to reality when he continued with an evil laugh “ why would I want my golden egg-laying goose to be taken away from me ” he slowly got up, his skinny legs wobbling for a second not able to balance his large stomach, gaining his balance he walked out while tapping my face with his smelly hands, that's it my decision is made I could only get out of this hell hole with the help of Mr. William though I have to pay a small price of getting married to him if I did not get out from here now I wouldn't be able to get out ever Mr. William is the only one they are scared of.

We were sitting in the same place in the living room except instead of my dad sitting on the couch it was me, Mr. William had a smile on his face as he kept looking at me.
“ I would like to marry you, Mr. William,” I said looking down at my feet observing my toes trying to figure out why do they come in different sizes? ., and why are they called toes and not boes or soes or roes
I stopped making my brain work when I heard Mr. Bernard clearing his throat “ yes...” I asked confused.
He loosened his tie a little as he said “ Ms white do you have anything to ask or say ?” yes I did have things to say but, I couldn't as my dad kept drilling holes into my body through his eyes, Mr. William felt my hesitation, he looked at me saying “ I would like to talk to Alicia in private, all of you leave the room immediately ” his tone was so authoritative that if he wouldn't have said that he wanted to talk with me, I would have been already in my grave hiding. Everyone went away quickly not one saying otherwise.
The silence filled the room which started increasing my anxiety, I dint say anything for a lot of time and neither did Mr. William, the only way I knew he is still in this room was because of the way he was staring at me, I finally broke the silence looking at him everywhere except his intense blue eyes, it felt like he would be able to read my mind if I looked at them.
“ Uhm Mr. William.....”
“ it's Duncan for you, ”
“ ook Duncan, before we get married I would like to put some things forward.” I looked at him asking if I should continue, he nodded his head in agreement, so I continued.
“ First I would like to have a very small wedding, with just near and dear ones, and of course you, I dint mean you are not near, but a stranger, not a stranger, you're the groom, of course, you should be there, not should, I would be happy if you dint come.....” I finally shut my mouth I would make this worse than it already is, I looked at Mr. William to see if he is pissed or something, but he was looking at me in amusement, taking that as my cue I continued.
“ Secondly I wouldn't like anyone to know that we are married until I come to terms with it, thirdly I would like to have a separate room for me,” I said trying to act normal by removing the imaginary dust from my floral t-shirt.
“ is there any more request,” he said moving a little forward in his seat coming a little closer to me, his hands in front of him joined together, his dimples popping out making him look even more handsome.
“ n no that's it, you know what you don't have to agree to this...” he cut me off from what I was speaking.
“ I agree to all your request,” he said making me want to jump in happiness, but I reminded myself you're a lady, not a freaking kangaroo you can also express happiness by saying thank you, or smile. I did as my mind told me by smiling and got back a smile in return.
