I sat on the chair in my room, reading my favorite novel the fault in our stars for the hundredth time, pleasuring and torturing myself at the same time if that is even possible. This book made me feel happy as well as sad at the same time. It gave a new dimension to love, it made me look at everything differently. He showed her what being in love is and she showed him a different way to live life.

Reading this book made me realize, I could never imagine myself being in such a position, to lose the one I love.

I looked towards the door, as I heard a knock “ come in ” I said Duncan walked in, in his grey pajamas and white shirt. He looked disturbed, the smile he always had lost.

He looked at the floor walking towards me. kneeling in front of me  his hands snaking around my waist, his head in my lap he closed his eyes.

I awkwardly looked around not knowing what to do. My hands in the air holding the novel, I did not know where to place them.

He looked peaceful I did not want to disturb him. I leaned sidewards placing the book back on the drawer, trying not to disturb him.

Looking at the position he was in, “ Duncan” I gently called.

“ Hmm,” he replied in his kneeling position.

“ Please get up, your knees must be hurting,” I said looking at him while his eyes were still closed.

“ no baby girl, I am fine ” he mumbled.

“ Duncan please,” I pleaded.

“ if I move you will leave,” he said, his eyes open staring into the void.

I felt sorry.

“ no, I promise I won't let's just sit on the bed please you will hurt yourself,” I said in a calm tone.

He looked up “ fine,” he sighed, standing up before I could stand he placed his hands behind my legs lifting me in his arms, my eyes were wide in surprise.

“ what you doing? ” I questioned.

“ you decide what to do, I decide how,” he said placing a kiss on my cheeks, walking towards the bed, he gently laid me down and waited for me to settle myself down, I leaned against the headboard with a couple of pillows as my back support.

He snaked his hands around my waist protectively, he placed his head on my lap with my legs straightened out. He closed his eyes again with a gentle smile dawned on his face this time.

I was in an awkward position, what would anyone do if they were in my position?, where should I put my hands? How should I sit? Should I sit up straight? Huh, I was going mad, I hated not knowing what to do.

My hands were in the air like dangling bones. After a couple of seconds, Duncan reached his hand towards mine gently grabbing them he placed them over his head.

A small smile played on my face what is this guy a physic or what how does he know everything?.

I slowly ran my hands through it, playing with his brown soft tendrils. A small groan left his mouth. I immediately took off my hands, he looked up questioningly.

“ you don't like it right so..?” I said playing with my fingers.

“ no I love it, it calms me down,” he said placing a kiss on the inside of my hands.

Guiding them back into his hair, he closed his eyes.

I looked at his peaceful sleeping form, what must be going through his mind right now? How nice it would be if I could monitor people's minds and know everything they are thinking about, the good and bad thoughts that would be amazing.
