When Tanya pulled into the large abandoned workshop, she could see a few figures standing around together. She drove over and put the car into park before shutting it off. Looking through the window to see the group all gathered and with her being last to greet them all. If she was being honest, she was anxious to see them. If they knew her husband was a cop and was the one hunting them, then this would be a very big problem. But why should she worry when she could shut up whoever had something to say against it?
Since she found her brother, she has been dealing with his bullshit and the sickness in her stomach. Her fuse was very short, and her anxiety was at an all-time high if put to the test. But she had to keep her cool because if she didn't, then things would most likely take a turn for the worse. So, with a sigh, Tanya stepped out of the car and put on a tight-lipped smile. "Hey, guys." She greeted and Roman's smile slowly dropped in shock.
Without a word, he walked over and embraced her in a hug. The tight hold making Tanya smile lightly as she wrapped her arms around her old friend. They hadn't seen each other in years and if Tanya was being honest, she never thought she would see him again. It was nice, but she knew that after this job, they would all part ways and continue their lives. And that was something Tanya was looking forward to since she hadn't seen both her kids in quite some time.
"Holy shit," Roman muttered as he pulled away to inspect the woman. Trying to see if he was dreaming or not, but she was really there and he was thrilled to see her. "Hey, Rome." She smiled with her hands resting on his shoulders. "Long time no see." Roman smiled as he pulled her into another hug that she welcomed like the first.
When they pulled away, Tanya turned to the others as Brian took a step forward. "Everyone meet, Tanya O'Connor, my sister. She's going to be a big part of this job." He announced, glancing at his sister and giving her a smile. Tanya gave a pursed smile and nod in return, not wanting to get into introductions since she knew every bit and piece of these people's lives.
She also knew everything about their target, Hernan Reyes. A slimy bastard is the nicest way of putting him and half the shit he does in Rio. And Tanya was excited for every bit of chaos that she and others would put him through.
"So, what's this all about, Dom?" Han questioned, cutting off all other conversations and getting down to business. A man by the name of Tej nodded in agreement. "Yeah, man. Why'd you drag us halfway around the world?" He asked as Brian glanced at Dom with a smile. The man mirroring the expression as he looked back at the group. "'Cause we got a job." He announced as the group glanced at each other.
Tanya crossed her arms over her chest as she stepped forward. "Follow." She ordered simply before walking in the direction of where all the plans were situated. Brian walked beside her with the group following closely behind. The team all gathering around a table Tanya motioned them towards.
"All right, kiddos, let's get to business." She started, rubbing her hands together before placing them on the table and leaning forward. "Our target's name is Hernan Reyes. Shifty and slimy little cockroach runs the drug business down here. "And he's never busted 'cause he doesn't leave a paper trail," Brian added from beside Tanya who nodded.
The woman by the name of Gisele crossed her arms over her chest as she said, "No paper trail means no banks. And no banks mean cash houses." She pointed out and Tanya nodded in agreement. "Bingo." Brian nodded, a tiny smile on his lips. "That's right. Ten to be exact. Spread throughout the city." He motioned with his hand over the map of Rio that Tanya unrolled across the table for everyone to see.
"And we're gonna hit' em all," Dom added with a smile as Roman looked at the man. "All of them?" He asked as Tanya smiled. "All of them, Rome." She repeated and Roman pursed his lips. "That sounds crazy. Bring this to a whole 'nother country so we can rob the dude that run's it?" He questioned, uncertainty dripping from his tone as he looked around the table.
"I thought this was business. Sounds personal to me, especially how Tanya described this dude. Is that what this is?" Roman looked to Tanya who had a deadpanned expression as she stared at him. "I got love for y'all, but personal ain't good business. I can't do this, homey." He told them, waving them off as he grabbed his leather jacket and turned, walking away from the group. Tanya looked to Dom who had a sly smirk on his lips as he leaned forward. "So what we're talkin' about is a hundred million dollars."
That was enough to stop Roman as he turned to the group. His mouth was slightly ajar as he stared at the group in shock and unsure of what he just heard. When he looked at Tanya, she gave him a warm smile and nod of confirmation. Seeing the slight relief in his eyes made her smile wider, happy to know that him hearing it from her was enough for him to believe.
"You say what?" He asked. "Hundred- Hundred- See, sometime I be overthin', man, and, uh, you know, I know we just met, but- You just kinda gotta-" He rambled on, but Tanya cleared her throat, silencing him as he looked at her. "Yeah, yeah. Uh, right." Roman mumbled, going back to his spot that he was originally standing at. "That's right. A hundred million dollars. And everything we take, we split even." Dom explained as the group allowed it all to sink in.
"That's a little over eleven million apiece," Tej stated with wide eyes. "I am down." He told them as Leo and Santos said they were in as well. After that, Roman hummed. "Eleven million. Sound like a whole lot of vaginal activity to me." Tanya scoffed as she shook her head in disbelief. Still surprised that after all these years, he was the same guy she grew up with. Not like it was a problem, she loved Roman because he was so wild and crazy.
"You can't pull of ten heists on the same mark. You just can't." Gisele stated as Tanya glanced over at her brother before the siblings looked at Dom. "You know, as soon as we hit the first one, they're gonna do everything they can to protect the rest." Han added, but both O'Conners were focused on Dom who slowly smiled. "Exactly."
