⋘ ──── ∗ ⋅◈⋅ ∗ ──── ⋙ CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR A FALLEN OMEN ⋘ ──── ∗ ⋅◈⋅ ∗ ──── ⋙
As planned, Luke had found Dom. Presenting him with the recent incidents that had occurred in London and had asked for his help and the rest of the crew. Tanya on the other hand stayed in London. Sitting alone in her contemporary apartment for the time being until she got word that the crew were in the city. And it was safe to say she was ecstatic about it, but also dreaded it. Only because she would have to see all those familiar faces - her brother being one - and have to act as if things were just right. That, internally, she wasn't drowning from just her emotions alone.
But, alas, she had to try and push that down for the time being. She already putting a momentary hold on Luke and her's relationship for the moment. It wasn't like she could just allow herself to process the emotions when Owen Shaw was on a tirade of chaos. Maybe after everything was done she would allow time to breathe and space. Not ideal for someone like her, but she could try at least.
Besides that, when Tanya got a text from Riley letting her know when the crew got to London, she got ready. Grabbing her keys, gun and a leather jacket before jogging to her car and getting on her way.
When she did arrive, the elevator took a lot longer than it should've. It made her question why she didn't just take the stairs, then the reminder that they were in a skyscraper countered it. So, she endured the rising tension forming in her stomach as she crossed her arms over her chest. Nibbling on her bottom lip as she listened to each beep appear once they pass a floor.
Eventually, the elevator did come to a stop with the doors sliding open. Imeedtialey, the first thing she noticed was the multiple tables to the right side of the room. One stood, empty and bare with a few chairs surrounding it. Another had multiple weapons strewn across it, ammo accompanying it. Then the last stood with multiple screens, computers and other equipment that were chosen carefully for Tej.
As she walked into the room, she glanced at the gloss black BMWs to her right with a few others to her left. Barely giving it any mind as she smiled at the sight of Roman. His back turned to her as he talked to Tej.
Without as much of a warning, Tanya wrapped her arms around the man's neck. Hopping onto his back and secured her arms in a headlock. "A fucking giant could sneak up on you, Rome." Her arms tightened slightly.
"What the hell?" He muttered, tilting his head to look at her. "Oh, what's up, baby? How've you been?"
She hopped down from his back and hugged him softly. "You know, just doing work," she replied. "It's good to see your dumbass again. Almost like a breath of fresh air."
