⋘ ──── ∗ ⋅◈⋅ ∗ ──── ⋙ CHAPTER FOURTEEN ASSEMBLE THE TEAM ⋘ ──── ∗ ⋅◈⋅ ∗ ──── ⋙
Standing near the railing of a high rise, Tanya looked over her shoulder at the trio. "Best spot to make up a plan. Away from cameras and unwanted eyes." She told them as Dom sighed. Walking over and leaning against the railing beside Tanya. The group taking in the beautiful view of Rio that was presented to them. Part of Tanya knew if she wasn't able to leave Rio, she'd still love it here.
"All right. Let's run through the bases real quick. Who do we got?" Brian spoke up, looking at both Toretto siblings, and surprisingly Tanya as well. They hadn't talked about anything last night and Tanya was fine with that. But with how Brian was seemingly acting, it made her feel guilty. Alas, she was going to push it all down until it finally started slowly rising to the surface. Only then will she talk to her brother. Until then, they were on a no talking basis.
"First we're gonna need a chameleon. Someone who can blend in. Anywhere." Dom stated, knocking Tanya from her thoughts. "Do you got anybody in mind for that?" Tanya spoke up and Dom nodded and she nodded as she looked out at the view.
"What else?" Mia mused as Dom began explaining the next needed person. "A fast talker. Someone who can bullshit their way out of anything." At Dom's description, both Brian and Tanya smirked and looked at each other. Both having the exact same person in mind. Roman Pearce. "We got that."
"This guy's gonna have a lot of surveillance. We're gonna need someone who's good with circuits." Mia pointed out and Tanya nodded. "And with those circuits, Reyes is gonna have walls. We're gonna need guy's to punch through those walls." Dom added and Tanya sighed heavily. "Yeah, but we're gonna need someone with some experience behind a weapon and can fight. Not gonna crack under the pressure of the situation they could be in." She spoke up as she looked over at Dom who nodded in agreement. "I got someone in mind for that. You and her will get along." He stated and Tanya pursed her lips as she nodded.
"Most importantly, we're gonna need two precision drivers. Guy's that don't crack under pressure. Guy's that never lose." A smirk was on both Brian's and Dom's faces as they both looked at each other. "You know we got that." Brian's words made Tanya roll her eyes in amusement as Mia chuckled from beside her. Seeing the blonde's reaction to both of the men. When Tanya tried standing up from leaning on the railing, her head began to spin. Suddenly dizzy and slightly stumbling which Mia caught the attention of and caught the blonde.
"Are you okay?" Mia asked worriedly as the other two looked in the direction of the women. Tanya blinked a few times, feeling a migraine coming on as she nodded slightly. "Ye-Yeah. I'm okay." She assured as she blinked a few times more before she broke from Mia's hold. Ignoring the looks from the three as she tried to act as nothing had happened.
After they had decided on the members of the team, Dom had (demanded) asked that Tanya look for a location as a home base. Of course, she did so and was browsing through the abandoned locations in the large city. Researching the past of some of the abandoned buildings and stopped on an old work building that had been shut down years ago. Practically forgotten by the citizens on the island. Perfect to not only set up but perfect to practice any firearm training. It was off the grid and far from the city and by the ocean. So, Tanya was just excited to set up a firing range outside and let loose.
Showing Dom the place, he nodded in confirmation and that was where they went to. Tanya had stolen a car to cut the risk of the taxi driver possibly recognizing them. There was no doubt in Tanya's mind that there was the possibility of her now being added to the hunt with her brother and Dom. So, she wasn't going to risk anything and including the fact that Mia was with them, and pregnant.
When they arrived at the location, they walked inside and Tanya smiled proudly of her find. It was just right for what they were doing and what they planned to do. Tanya didn't actually know what Dom and Brian had planned but needed to find out. Just so she could decide on what she was going to do next.
Running her hand across the metal railing. Rubbing her fingers at the amount of dust that stuck to her fingers. "Jesus, we might need to clean up the place before bringing our guests out, huh?" Brian spoke up, stepping up to his sister's side. Pursing her lips, Tanya bit the inside of her cheek from letting out a snarky comment. "Yeah." She agreed as she turned to her brother, turning her head to Mia and Dom who were carrying in some of the equipment they had (stolen) borrowed from a local tech store. "How about you help your girlfriend and her brother with setting up? I'm going to bring the car inside and started cleaning the place up." Tanya suggested before walking past her brother.
She couldn't talk to Brian and she was guessing he knew since she blew him off quickly. Trying to practically avoid any type of conversation with him. It just made her feel frustrated and she got that enough with Luke. So, right now she just needed to be far away from him.
Bringing the car inside, Tanya then started cleaning up around the workshop. Moving tables and such around to be a good area for comms or the plans. Mia had asked Tanya for help with the power of the building, and after a very extensive session of cursing from both women, they got it on. Finding herself so deep into cleaning and setting stuff up, the time had passed and it was dark now. A yawn escaped her lips as she rolled her shoulders back and moved to the car. The other three having disappeared to where Tanya was guessing an area to sleep perhaps. But as of right now, she liked her staying by herself and not somewhere where the three could possibly betray her or such. Just that simple thought was enough to make her decide on staying in the car.
Reclining the front seat, Tanya sighed as she stared up at the roof of the car. Sigh heavily as she reached into her pocket and placed her gun on her lap and closed her eyes. Making sure her hand was resting on the weapon. Still cautious about the idea of being with her brother and Dom. Mia was fine, but that didn't stop Tanya from being suspicious of both the men.
Groaning loudly, Tanya pushed all thoughts away as she allowed herself to fall asleep. Wondering what was to come next for when the team assembled.
