CHAPTER TWO
QUESTIONING
⋘ ──── ∗ ⋅◈⋅ ∗ ──── ⋙

Tanya sat silently in the interrogation room. Staring at her cuffed hands to the table. No emotion is written on her face as she sat there silently, occasionally glancing around the room. Making eye contact with the one-way glass window with a tilt of her head and looking directly into the cameras. Her blonde hair hanging over her shoulders with her bangs resting gently against her forehead.

If the O'Conner was being honest, she didn't know where she was. She didn't know how long she had been at wherever she was but found herself thinking about Luke. It was weird for her to be thinking about someone other than herself, but she suddenly found the man interesting. Of course, there would always be a wall up so he could see the true her, but it would come down when she could trust him. And just that took quite a bit of work.

From what she overheard on the C-17 to where they were right now, she wasn't their main target. Only supposed to have taken out their target in the building where Tanya was being held and that was it. So, it left Tanya wondering why he saved her when she wasn't on his mission. There had to be more to it than she was seeing, there just had to be. She just didn't know what yet and she didn't like knowing things like that.

Tanya was a woman who preferred knowing almost every bit of information relating to a mission. It was one of the reasons why she had been so successful on missions since she was a perfectionist. Knowing all the info on her targets gave her the upper hand as she could get in their head and know how to get what she wanted. But when she didn't know something, she felt weak and unsure of how to go about things.

The interrogation door opened and Tanya still didn't lookup. Expecting it to be the same man from the past five times to continue to question her. In Tanya's opinion, it was getting rather annoying to deal with and just wanted to be freed. Hell, being in a prison would be a lot better than having to deal with this bullshit.

"Uncuff her." The familiar voice had Tanya lift her instantly to see it was Luke with a guard. The guard looked to Luke with uncertainty. Clearly not liking the whole idea of having a trained Russian assassin unrestrained and free to kill either of them. "Uh- sir, I-" He wasn't able to finish as Luke sent him a glare. Giving a tiny nod, the guard stepped forward fishing the keys from his pocket before unlocking the cuffs around Tanya's wrist.

Rubbing her wrists, Tanya placed her hands on her lap as she stayed silent. "Leave us," Luke ordered and the guard nodded as he stepped out of the room. Leaving the pair quietly in the small room. With each simple act, Tanya's trust in Luke was increasing. No sane person would be alone in a room with her, let alone being free to kill him if need be.
