AN: ugh. I made a small error. From now on, Thessaly would be called Aeolia since the story's timeline was currently around the last phase of the bronze period of Ancient Greece. Approximately around 1600-1100 BC. I am already fixing the other chapters because of the error I made.

If anyone is curious about the current year then it was currently on the year 1279 BC. Ughh. This story is giving me a lot of headaches because I need to do some research. Why did I even think making a Jason SI is a good idea?

Brain: who knows it suddenly popped out in your head when you saw the Jason NP memes.

Chapter 10: Phtia

On the 3rd day of being with the demi-god Aristaeus who was also known as the God of Beekeeping, Jason has both grown bored and annoyed. He felt that he would explode if he just remained with the demi-god longer. Jason stood up from his seat as he watched the demi-god look at his bees fondly. No matter what, Jason would convince Aristaeus to go away. He would convince him to take care of his godly duties than to take care of him– a little boy who wasn't. And he can take care of himself and doesn't in need of a freeloader. Even it was a God who was mooching off. A bother is still a bother. He didn't need someone to be an Aqua or Ishtar in his life.

Unexpectedly, before he can voice out his concerns, Aristaeus has beaten him to it.

" Diomedes~ I'm bored! How about we leave this mountain and wander around the kingdoms? "

An unexpected offer came from a bored-looking demi-god. Golden eyes stared at him intensely. Jason has considered–

" No. "

Not even a few seconds before he refuse the offer.

" I'm certain that you wouldn't be bored. You are a child, isn't it more natural for children for you to satisfy your curiosity? "

The demi-god looks at him with a surprised look on his face while Jason gives his best-unimpressed look.

" No. "

" Diomedes, I promise that it would be fun! You have been staying in this mountain too much. I am certain that you are bored. "

" I apologize. But I can't. I don't want to trouble Chiron Sensei if he suddenly returned and he found out that I am not here. "

" I'm sure it would be fine. Chiron would return at the end of the week just like what he said. "

Under the demi-god's expectant gaze, Jason faltered. Recently, it was true that Jason have felt cooped up being in the mountain and Chiron's home. Even in the mountain, Jason isn't allowed to wander around freely with the presence of the centaurs in mount Pelion. Chiron's relationship with the other centaurs in this mountain is quite complicated from what he has discerned when Chiron would always remind him to not stay away from his home. Jason could tell from their conversations that Chiron and the centaurs don't have an amicable relationship with each other.

If Aristaeus isn't here and also without Chiron, Jason wouldn't want his life to be endangered with the centaurs. Despite being annoyed with the demi-god, while thinking of it carefully, Jason finally decided to agree on coming with the God of Beekeeping.

But Jason immediately regretted agreeing to the demi-god when he found himself beyond the city (kingdom) of Iolcus. Even beyond the region of Magnesia. But thankfully they are still at Aeolia in a city called Phtia. Aristaeus mentioned that the king of the city was called Irus and he have a son called Eurytion. Though it doesn't sound familiar to him, Jason has a feeling that he was also maybe stepping into landmines. The place where he can consider that he was safe (albeit a little) was Mount Pelion. There, he doesn't need to worry that he was altering something other than his conversations and living lifestyle with Chiron. Speaking of Chiron, he hoped that the kind Centaur wouldn't be angry with him when he found out that he had gone out of Mount Pelion with Aristaeus. He still remembered one time when Chiron have become angry. Jason doesn't want to experience it again. It happened around the one year when Chiron have asked him if he remembered or recovered anything from his memories. Jason has said no and told Chiron that he may never recover those 'memories' and would never come back. After that, he receive the angry look of Chiron for a moment while the centaur said that he would make sure that Jason would eventually get his memories back. After that, Chiron has apologized for unconsciously raising his voice. Jason accepted the apology while also thinking that it was impossible. The memories– the real Jason aren't coming back. He's gone replace by a pretender.

" Hmm... Diomedes is there something wrong? "

Jason was startled when Aristaeus was beside him and his gold eyes were looking at him sharply.

" Nothing! "

It wasn't his business.

" I see. Then let's go now. I am interested in what is these people and places have to offer for me... "

Aristaeus patted his head making Jason irritated. And he wanted to retort that it wasn't right to abuse his power as a god to make people offer something to him. But then it entered in Jason's mind that maybe Aristaeus didn't mean it as a god but as a wanderer.

Currently, he and Aristaeus were wandering around the market of Phtia. Just like when it comes to Chiron, Jason expected the people to recognize Aristaeus since he was a god. But the people don't seem to recognize Aristaeus. Jason decided to ask.

" You're asking why people don't seem to flock towards me? It's simple! I have used my magic to conceal my presence as a God! "

Magic... Jason can feel his heart beating his heart excitedly at the mention of Magic. And it also makes sense that the people don't seem to recognize Aristaeus since he was using his Magic for presence concealment.

" And the people of this place don't have the god of Beekeeping as their patron so it's normal that they don't recognize me, a Minor God. "

So, what it is is between those two?

" You could consider that it was those both situations Diomedes. "

Did he just read his mind?

" No. You should consider masking your expressions. It was easy to decipher once someone has gotten familiar with you Diomedes. "

How irritating.

" You are interesting. "

This time, Jason didn't bother to hide his glare. Aristaeus merely chuckled as he patted Jason's head.
