Chapter 11: Magic

On a lone throne sat Pelias, the unrightful king of Iolcus. Different from when he had taken his throne from his half-brother, his eyes were now dull and lifeless. It was not full of fear when he received the prophecy from the Oracle, who was already dead. It was neither the combination of fear, madness, and insanity when he received a new 'prophecy' or when the spawn that killed the Oracle killed his guards and also tried to kill him.

While he was gazing blankly and had his mind elsewhere, the door to the throne room opened.

" Archon Pelias. "

His new advisor entered the throne room. Pelias turned his gaze at his new advisor. The advisor unconsciously flinched when Pelias turned his gaze on him.

" What... Is ..your news. Advisor? "

" Archon, there's still a message from the temple of Poseidon, according to the remaining Oracles and Magicians. "

Pelias moves his left hand, caressing his throat. He rubbed them for a few moments before opening his mouth to speak.

" ..I ...see... "

Pelias was just among of many bastards after all. He hoped that his father, Poseidon, would answer his call and plea. But looks like the god wouldn't care about his situation. How many times does he have sent his advisors to call for his father's help?

His memory was blurry. He can't remember how many times it is.

It was disappointing. Poseidon wouldn't answer his call. The god was Pelias' only hope. He stared at his new advisor feeling his vision was slowly getting blurry and dim.

Not again...

Pelias felt himself losing consciousness.

When he opened his eyes again at the throne room the new advisor was already gone. What was left was the trail of blood on the marble floor and the speck of crimson on his hands.

He sighed as he stared at his hand. Pelias has still forgotten to tell his advisor to raise the taxes in the Iolcus. Now that he was dead, Pelias can't do it anymore.

After the visit to Phtia, Jason and Aristaeus returned to Mount Pelion. It is also interesting that at their time of visit to that city, Jason learned that the city's patron was Theia who was considered the Greek Goddess of Light.

On their visit to the Phtia, Jason has also his interest piqued somewhere.

After returning to Mount Pelion, Jason decided to just stay there. The next day, when he was invited by Aristaeus, Jason refused the offer of God. Unsurprisingly, Aristaeus decided to leave Mount Pelion and wander around. Jason then remained inside Chiron's home. He has also his mind wandering towards the thought of Magic since Aristaeus mentioned using magic to conceal his presence as a God towards the people.

Jason wanted to learn magic. They didn't also want to because it was what he thought was something cool and awesome. He also needs to learn it. Magic is a must! Jason thought that if he had Magic, he would have a greater chance of survival. Just thinking of Solomon (Roman), Merlin, and Cas Gil was enough to encourage him to learn magic. Magic is a great cheat to ensure his survival. It was all around and can be used in any applicable situation. Jason's thoughts also derailed further to the other Anime Franchise with those Isekai OP Mc with their magics.

Jason can't help but smile when he daydreams of learning magic. If someone saw him now, they would mistake him for Riyo Gudako for his smile. He was currently creepy like the Riyo Gudako when it comes to Gacha.

When Aristaeus returned to Mount Pelion, he wasn't surprised when Jason was staring at him intensely. He gave notice that Jason had been gazing at him frequently when he told him about how he used magic to conceal his presence.

But it was still a surprise to him when his former teacher's current student bowed on the floor.

" Please teach me how to use magic! I need to learn Magic! "

If Chiron had seen this scene, Aristaeus would be in deep trouble. He was certain that Chiron would be angry at him for bullying his Junior and have him reprimanded and Chiron would have a very long conversation with him.

Aristaeus has Jason leave to have himself prostrate on the floor. When Jason was finally out on the floor, he was disappointed with the demi-god's words.

" I can't teach you how to wield and use magic. "

Of course, It wouldn't be easy after all.

" Not everyone can use magic... "

Jason stared at Aristaeus, but he couldn't force himself to stare at the demi-god longer, so he had his head lowered. It hurts that he was refused. Jason thought that it was logical that Aristaeus wouldn't teach him anything. He was just a mere child and a current student of his former teacher. Jason didn't even give Aristaeus a good reason why he wanted to learn magic. It was natural that the demi-god would refuse.

But since getting into the body of the child, Jason is very affected by the impulse of this little body. Right now, he felt hurt by the rejection. His body was screaming at him that he wanted to learn magic. It was so cool!

Jason clenched his teeth forcing himself to not give in to the impulse of a child's body. He wouldn't cry and throw a tantrum! Filled with determination, he raised his head and stared at the demi-god. Golden eyes were peering at Jason with a mischievous glint.

" It's a jest! You have been fooled! Of course, I would teach you how to learn magic! But I would only teach you if Chiron agreed with you learning magic. Ah, I have nearly made you cry isn't I?  "

Aristaeus started patting his head again. Jason stared at Aristaeus's amused smile for a few moments before his expression turned into a complicated mix of anger, embarrassment, and frustration. Finally, the little body that doesn't belong to him decided to do one action.

" Uwaaahhhhhhh!! "

Jason started wailing like a baby.

Having this god within his vicinity is a bad influence on him.

When Chiron returned at the end of the week, he had Aristaeus start running like crazy while he had his arrow nearly hitting a very sensitive part of the demi-god's body.
