Sinundan ako ni Kenneth towards the seats near the window but Chris stopped him all of a sudden.
"What?" I asked him "Don't tell me na magkatabi kayo ng seats, no way.." he bluntly said, sending cringe down my soul, piercing through my internal organs.
Akala mo naman tatay ko siya. "You're sitting with Ashtine okay?" he grabbed her hand and forcely made her sit down on the seat.
My gosh, this guy is literally making a scene. "Fine fine. But who will sit with him? Ofcourse you don't have plans.." saad ko at nagtagpo ang mga kilay ni Chris.
"Well, I'll sit with him, whatever." He said nang pilit na pilit then I looked at Kenneth.
He just gave me a reassuring look, Gosh, regardless of his reassurance, hindi ako makakampante with him sitting beside Chris. I want to badly let him sit with me and refuse Chris' offer.
But no, I can't fuss at all, since the airplane is going to fly any moment soon.
Bahala na nga.. After Chris exited the scene with Kenneth, Ashtine asked me out of the blue, "Ey, are you and that guy dating? Legal na ba kayo?"
"Gosh, pati ba naman ikaw Ashtine? Ofcourse not. Dating is not my thing. Perhaps, all of you just misunderstood." I hissed, making her cross her arms in annoyance.
"Ugh, who are you fooling. A doctor?" Don't use your degree against me Ashtine.
"Hindi nga, how many times do I have to tell you I am so not into it." I honestly told her. Yes, honestly.
"Haha, don't be in denial. Just tell me if both of you are dating someone. I may give you some advice afterwards." she offered
"No thank you.. Advice ka ng advice, hindi mo naman naranasan magka-jowa, bobo ba you?"
"Well, I have experienced a fling back then so.." She explained but I was tpo quick to interrupt her.
"Wait a sec.. when? Kailan pa. How dare you keep secrets from us." tanong ko
"Hear my side first okay? Back then.. In States. Nakalimutan mo na ba na busy nga ako before so I didn't got to tell you bout it."
"Oo nga, busy-ng busy humarot." I said and she turned her head avoiding my words.
"But what's his name? Matangkad? Brunette or blonde? Gwapo?"
"Stop bombarding me useless questions and, don't change the topic.. Atleast now makakahinga na ako't you are still single or else tita Phoebe will be so disappointed at you. Ako rin.. I will be disappointed." she said in a single breath.
"As if.. ikaw nga tong nag-chachange ng topic, makapagsalita to ahh.. You're also the one building false assumptions." I rolled my eyes, clenching my fist.
"But speaking of my mom.. Let me chat her. I'll tell her na maya-maya makakarating na tayo sa Mindanao"
dagdag ko pa.
"Luh sis, you did not tell her pala before tayo pumunta ng airport? What a shame.. Lagot ka" don't act like an asshole now Ash.
"Shut up.." I gritted my teeth and proceed on getting my phone.
I attempted to grab my cellphone inside my bag but unfortunately, it wasn't there. What the heck?
Nanakawan ba ako earlier sa airport? Baka nahulog from my bag.. Gosh, mahal pa naman yun.. Or baka naiwan ko ata sa dorm..
"Ai wait, my phone is not with me.."
"Baka someone stole it. Girl, be careful din sometimes." she's right but I do not have time to argue at this moment so I have to borrow hers nalang.
"Ugh, can I just borrow your phone for the mean time.. Kailangan ko talagang i-chat si mom."
"Go on, I know it's urgent naman so.." she grabbed the phone from her bag and handed it to me.
"Komawo" I thanked her and she chuckled.
"At marunong ka ma rin mag-korean.. Multilinggual na you sis."
"I learned from Tere" I told her and start to log in to my account.
I immediately went to the chat with my mom and told her nasa airplane na ako, ready to fly. I also told her some other necessary things, and ofcourse bid farewell.
Next thing that happened which hindi ko namalayan is, lumipad na kami leaving NAIA airport.
"Gosh, been so long since I rode an airplane.." I uttered causing Ashtine to giggle.
"It's okay, just enjoy the ride.. maya-maya we'll now arrive in the airport sa Mindanano you told us before.. Forgot the name though.." she said
I smiled, 'Laguindingan airport"
"Right! That one!" She jolted at my response.
"Yeah.." I uttered, feeling a bit nauseous, and a bit nervous. It has been so long Iligan.. See you soonest
