“A quitter never wins,
and a winner never quits”Napoleon Hill
Right now, nandito kami sa office of the land lady. I glared at Kenneth, umabot pa kami dito dahil sa ka-OAhan niya.
"Oh hija? Bakit naman ganun?" the land lady asked me.
"Ahm.. Kasi po ito si Kenneth, pwede naman pong sa general cr pupunta if ever na gagamit sya ng palikuran, nasanay na po kasi akong five am maligo.." I explained to her.
"Pero bakit pa nga, doon din ako nakatira for now" Kenneth told me
I refused to agree with him right now. "Shut it out, basta sinabi kong ako mag-ccr ng five am, ako lang.. It's my time all right?"
"Napakagulo mo.." sabi ni Kenneth.
I look so immature right now, fighting over something small like, arguing over a cr lang? But well, I am not a quitter, papanindigan ko kung anong gusto ko.
"Tama na yan, tingnan niyo ang oras oh, alas-otso na. Diba may klase pa kayo mamaya? Night classes remember? Baka ma-late pa kayo" The land lady reminded us.
'Was she a frustrated law student before?
I crossed my arms and playfully shook my head.
"Hoy, I also have my rights.." Kenneth said, talaga naman.. tsktsk
Before we start to argue nanaman, the land lady was fast enough to give us a suggestion.
"Ang akin lang, magbigayan kayo.. Eto nalang gawin niyo, kung sino mauunang magigising sa inyo is the one who will first use the bathroom. While any way, in just a couple of month, the occupant of room 350 will leave out of the dorm and Kenneth can finally transfer to that room.." the land lady said.
"Hay salamat, sa wakas mawawalan na rin ako ng tinik sa lalamunan." I said and clapped.
"Definitely, mawawalan na rin ako ng tali sa leeg" Kenneth shot back.
We finally left the land lady's office at umakyat kami ng sabay ni Kenneth, wordless.
Pagkaakyat namin, I hurried to my bed and packed the books i'll need including my laptop. I stare at my wrist watch and.. Patay, late nanaman ako nito.. 8:27 and night class begins mga 8:30 ata.
After packing everything necessary, I went downstairs at naglakad ng mabilis, wishing at least umabot ako on time. While I am hurrying my pace, my phone suddenly rang.
Kinuha ko yung phone ko out of mh pocket and looked down at the caller id and saw that it was just Jenn.
"Hello? Asan ka na Mabel? class will start in a minute." Jenn said through the phone
"Nagmamadali na nga ako.." I briefly said and hung up.
That Kenneth is starting to get on my nerves, badly.
"Mabel! Mabel!" I heard Kenneth's voice behind, baka gusto pa atang sumabay sakin, hmp. Bahala siya dyan mag-isa.
"Teka." I am so unfortunate, akalain mong naabutan niya ako.
I turned to face him to just see his smile, "Hi magandang suplada, mayroon ka atang nahulog mula sa damit mo" he said habang hawak-hawak ang name tag ko.
Galit nga ako sa kanya pero hayst, "Salamat poging kontrabida" I said at hinablot ang aking name tag at linagay sa blouse ko nang maayos.
"Inaamin mo nabang napopogihan ka sakin?" he said and I smirked.
"Nope, it's just my own form of saying thanks, asa ka pa." I told him.
We started walking until napahinto ako, "Hey! Pinakealaman mo yung gamit ko! You break my precious fourth golden rule" I angrily yelled at him.
He looked at me with a surprised expression, "Ikaw na nga itong sinabihang maganda at ibinigay ko pa nga yung name tag mo tapos ako pa may kasalanan? Pasalamat ka dahil kung hindi ko yan binigay sayo, hindi ka papasukin ng gwardya, Although I broke your fourth golden rule, mayroon ding advantage noh.." he said and I just rolled my eyes.
"Napakaantipatiko mo talaga" I told him and walked away.
"Poging antipatiko" I murmured to myself .
