"The law is the public conscience."
Thomas Hobbes
Night classes ended about two minutes ago so here I am packing up my stuffs getting ready for later. I am going to the club again once I finished packing all of these things up.
"Pupunta ka na naman sa club am I right?" I heard a voice beside me and I guess it was Kenneth again. Why does he care a lot? It's my life, not his.
"Yeah, correct assumption. Pupunta nga ako doon." I said bluntly and proceed on fixing my things so I'm ready to go. "Aren't your health and studies affected?" He asked out of the blue and I faced him unbothered.
"Nope." I told him
"I think.. I'm stronger than I knew." I added while staring into nothingness.
I stared at him ready to bid farewell but then I don't want to be rude so I rather told something with a bit nicer tune. I'm not that evil naman to people, am I? EHH, I do not actually bite. "But eh, thanks for the concern KenKen." when I said that, he smiled at me like nakakita siya ng anghel.
"O? Ba't parang nakikita ka ng angel. It's so visible with that smile of yours, Anong meron?" I asked and he murmured something to himself. "An angel indeed." Bitch, I heard that hehe.
"The nickname you gave me. Sana all." He said and I raised a brow. Hayst Kenneth, don't feel so special, parang nickname lang? Are some people really like that? Na ang babaw ng kaligayahan. Well I don't know about that pero eh, hayaan ko nalang si Kenneth maging masaya for a while, I don't have time to argue lalo na I am off to somewhere.
"O-oh.." was all I can say to him, better shut my rude mouth for once. I fixed my glasses and looked at my wrist watch. Dang. "Ahm.. I better go now, pwede pakiuwi nalang to sa dorm? Thank you in advance Kenneth." I said and he suddenly placed his hands on my shoulder.
"Samahan nalang kita, ako na bahala sa mga gamit mo." He told me and I let out a snort "Fine, be bored in there, you are not among us party people anyways.."
"Marunong akong makisama and mag-adjust okay?" he said and naawa ako suddenly. "Okayy.. Just hope hindi mapasobra pag-inom ko."
"Amen." he said and I laughed so hard. "Luh. tawa tawa ka jan." dagdag pa niya and I slapped his arm. "Quit being witty okayy?" sabi ko literally pinipigilan ko pagtawa ko and he smirked. My gosh stop!!
"Let's just go there already. Kairita." I told and started walking.

Right now as expected, nandito kami sa night club where all my pain can be wiped by alcohol in just two shots. Problems vanishes and burdens are forgotten.
But no, I told myself I won't drink because of this guy in front of me.
"Baket ka nakatitig sakin? Gusto mo ako?" Kenneth asked and I rolled my eyes in disgust. Me? magugusthan siya? Pupunta muna ako ng bermuda triangle before falling in love with him.
"No." I said and texted my other friends.
"Then why aren't you drinking?" he asked once again and I stared at him coldly.
OFCOURSE I CAN NOT BCOZ YOU ARE HERE
"Eh.. wag na, I don't want you to feel uncomfortable bro." I told him and he fluttered his eyes right in front of me. "Aw.. How sweet naman. For once hindi ka na nagmamaldita towards me."
Pff, me? maldita? since when ?
"I am not maldita, okay?" I fixed my glasses as I pause from talking "I am just stressed lately so I am probably unaware of my actions, period" I took a glance at him and he was staring at my eyes, listening properly to everything I am telling him.
"Is that so?" I was quite bothered of his response but I managed to reply in a way na hindi pinapahalata sa kanyang I am bothered. "That is so."
I looked at him and he was scrunching his face.
