"Ready or not here I come!"

My body twirled much like a raging tornado caused by the Tempest colossus. I never really knew the reason on why his winds were so raging where in fact; the Tempest colossus was kind in personality. He always apologized when many people got sucked inside his body and pretty much all the livestock and houses were drained by the consuming winds whenever he visited a tribe or a village. Because of the disaster he caused, he hid in a cloud and would come down whenever he felt lonely.

And it never ended well for those he visited.

Well at least they got visited. He tried.

"Go go go go duke! We gotta win this! We just gotta!" Fenris cheered.

My wolf's enthusiasm boosted my own zest and I made sure that the rolled leaves that were deposited inside my nose were still intact. We were playing Whack-and-bite. It was unfair if the one 'it' had his nose free. He could have sniffed out the ones hiding.

"We're gonna win this droog! We are the top paws in this game!" I cheered with him. We had this pal names that we made for each other. Droog and Duke just meant friends. Wicked right?

Now back to the game that I was gonna ace!

Ooh boy ooh boy! I can't wait. I just can't! I was breathing through my mouth excitedly and I could feel some drool coming out.

My eyes darted from left to right and I checked the first hiding spot where Claude, the youngest brother in my family, always hid. I played with the little pups of the pack in this forest. It was very hidden and one must first go through a burrow through the mountains to get here. It was a huge woodland surrounded by nothing but mountains. We lived here for five blue moons after our previous home was destroyed by catastrophes.

I don't love Catastrophes. They were mean and horrible and they smelled yucky like a monster gobbled by a mantikhoras and with its remaining meat uneaten and was left for weeks to rot.

And they also smell like my cousin's fart, sweat, and breath.

Just icky!

Like his face.

Ha!

There was this huge tree that had fallen dead for quite sometime. It looked like it had been struck by an angry lightning. I tiptoed at the very end of the fallen wood and then bent down and grinned when I saw the two bare and dusty feet of my brother. I grabbed the ankles and pulled him out in one swoop making him thrash around and scream bloody murder of the red deer that the adults hunted yesterday. I swung Claude's squirming body and lightly hit him against a hard rock.

"You're it!" I declared.

"Awww no fair! How'd you find me?!"

I puffed my chest out and then fully dropped the smaller boy who stood at my waist's height. He was six years old and was too tall to be in that height.

But I was much much much taller than him when I was in that age! Take that Claude!

"Because you're so dumb in hiding!" I laughed at him. I could hear small giggles from around us and everyone got out from their hiding place. Claude's  face reddened and he frowned at me. I snickered with everyone else which caused more annoyance to Claude.

"Yeah! So dumb!" My wolf agreed. "But isn't duke being too mean?" He asked feeling guilty all of a sudden.

"Meany!" He protested and kicked my shin causing me to wince greatly.

"Ow!" I screeched. My temper got the better of me and  then I kicked him in return; totally forgetting that I was twelve years older than him. Ha! Take that! I was the top paw here!
