Winds had flown the opposite way as if they were trying to get away from the reaper who now stood in front of us with a precarious and menacing milieu. His feet were at a two feet distance that widened the foundation of his offensive stance. The blade of his weapon reflected the sun's luminosity. His face was shaded from the light of the world but his eyes glimmered in the darkness of his hood.
"Hello Peaches, we meet again," I greeted.
"Intruder! Catch him!" The elven soldiers shouted. Peaches positioned his weapon horizontally in front of his chest and rubbed its thin body with the palm of his hand. Fire broke through from beneath the soil and circled around his dominating features.
"Zhatka! (Reaper!)" Snotty gasped.
The Elven soldiers took their distance and positioned their bows. Multiple arrows were released from the strings of their bows with the intent to hit the dark hooded fruit of my life. The fire that surrounded Peaches became a bodyguard that slapped the arrows away; taking the winds with it that made a whooshing sound. The blazing element didn't stop at that. It raised high from behind Peaches which made the attacking men drop their bows and turn the other way.
"Run!" They screamed.
"Where are you going?!" The Elven prince snarled in disbelief.
The blazing heat swooped down like a preying bird and poured its heated desires on the elves making them scream with agony. A few number of elves who still had the courage to attack charged towards Peaches with spears and swords. Peaches disappeared from the encircling pointy eared creatures which made them look around in bewilderment and fear. A shadow that appeared above dropped down on the floor and relinquished a damaging disk of flames that widened and enlarged which sent them out from their miserable conditions. A shaky hand grabbed me on my forearm and I looked at Snotty who had his toys in a long line of chain behind him.
"We leave NOW!" He barked in his butt naked form.
"I am famished. I would like to eat something before I deal with your valueless existence that would make a decaying corpse puff out his chest in pride for 'not' being you at the moment," I deadpanned. "Furthermore, I would like to invite Peaches for lunch. Would you care 'not' to join?"
Snotty gritted his teeth and then forced me to walk with a rough tug to my arm that made me almost fall face planted on the soil. Hmmm...If I plant my face on the soil, will I turn into a potato? Or maybe a celery. Or better yet, I will turn into a carrot that would be the cause of this man's pitiful death. He
would die from multiple lacerations and hemorrhage. My revenge would be served hot like Slade's special stuffed baby eggplant.
I looked behind me and saw Peaches dealing with the rest of the elves. He expertly spun his weapon as he swayed and swirled his body in a dance of deadly motions. He repelled every arrow and every spear that were thrown at him. He met metal with metal and won every clash of sword that challenged him. I saw Peaches throw his weapon towards us and I watched as it arched over our figures and landed just in front of Snotty's big toe. It was a shame that it didn't pin his toe to the ground.
Peaches materialized in front of us and Snotty took the opportunity to bargain with him.
"What do you want? Gold? Diamonds? Slaves? Name it reaper and I will see if I can fulfill it. Just release us!" He demanded. Even in the face of death, Snotty was confident. I guess his big head didn't want to be buried under soil. It wanted to be buried under a high pressure of air that would nourish his head even in death.
We waited for the deadly man for his answer. It would seem that everyone anticipated his reply that could possibly end a person's life.
Who was his purpose?
