It's hard to comprehend,
Because I thought you were the One.
The one I'd give my heart to,
The one who'd give his heart back.
The one to love, and kiss, too,
The one who'd love and kiss back.
The one to sing my saddest blues to,
The one who'd sing right back.
And all you ever do is lie,
And all I ever do is cry.
Thought I told myself I'd seen this all before.
Every night when I was young,
I looked up to the moon and stars.
And every night when I was young,
I'd tell them the words I couldn't say.
Every night as I grew up,
They loved me when no one else did.
Every night as I grew up,
I asked them when I'd get to meet you.
You saw me and my heart went crash!
I thought this love was made to last.
Now you throw me out like trash...
I guess I maybe fell too fast?
And all you ever do is lie,
And all I ever do is cry.
Thought I told myself I'd seen this all before.
So I'll sit in my bed as the day begins,
And the stars slowly fade away.
And I'll stare up at them,
Glaring at your face,
Maybe today's my lucky day.
You've got your hand in hers,
And my world starts to blur,
And I can't help the way
The tears form in my eyes.
You've got on hers,
And my world starts to turn,
And I can't help but love it
When your quirk up and grin.
And all you ever do is lie,
And all I ever do is cry.
Thought I told myself I'd never do this again.
