Chapter 9

I spun around and took in my surroundings. We were standing in a wonderful meadow filled with wild flowers, and in the distance I heard the sound of a rushing waterfall. Beyond the meadow, I saw a little town filled with different shops and houses.

"Wow Daniel! This place is wonderful!!" I said, twirling around, and eventually coming to a stop, sitting among the flowers.

"I knew you would like it" he said, smiling. He dropped down into the flowers, right next to me, and put his arm around me.

"It's my perfect world" he told me "I rule over it. I just need a princess to help me." His green eyes flashed even brighter as he looked at me, silently begging me to be his princess. I glanced at him, trying not to show I would be more than willing to, but not giving an answer yet.

"Come on, I'm getting hungry. We should go into the town." He grabbed my hand and started pulling me down the hill.

When we reached the town, I was even more impressed with it than with the meadow. There was all my favorite stores and restaurants. We eventually stopped at a small Italian place and went inside.

"Mario!" called Daniel and a short man carrying a tray came running to our table. On the tray was two pepperoni calzones.

"Mmmm, my favorite" I said, noticing how hungry I was. Daniel nodded in agreement and began to eat the calzone.

"Everything here is your favorite" he told me "I made it that way." I looked at him with confusion.

"You never told me you made this place" I said, still very confused. He nervously looked away and started picking at his calzone. But when I kept staring at him, he finally cracked.

"Yes, yes I made this place for you" he mumbled "I wanted to impress you..." I smiled at him and gave him a hug.

"Mission accomplished" I said happily. He grinned and began to drag me to another part of the town.

"Would you like to see where I live?" he asked. I nodded, and we started to go up the hill on the far side of town. After awhile, I still didn't see any buildings.

"I don't see anything Daniel" I complained "When are we going to get there."

"Soon" was the only thing he said. And in just a couple minutes, I saw a castle that had just appeared right in front of us.

"This" he said, gesturing to the castle "Is my home." I stared in amazement at the tall, stone structure. It must have been 150 feet tall and have around 200 rooms.

"Wow" I murmured "That's... Amazing!"

"Yes, it is" replied Daniel "Now, how would you like to live here?"
