Chapter 10
"I..... Um.... I" I stammered "I... Want to go home." An angry look crossed his face.
"Now Daniel" I added, with extra force. He sighed and finally agreed. He took out the coin, and I got the same whirling in a vortex feeling. When I opened my eyes, Daniel was already stalking off into the night.
"Daniel! Wait!" I called.
"See you tomorrow" he muttered, not bothering to turn around. I sighed, and sadly went back into the house.
"Awww, boyfriend dumped you?" mocked my sister. I shoved her aside and stormed up the stairs to my room where Mitchell was already sitting on my bed.
"Will you read to me before dinner?" he asked sweetly.
"Not tonight Mitchy" I said, pushing him carefully toward the door. He gave me one last pitiful look and headed of toward his room. I sighed, knowing I had been really mean, considering I read to him every night. I fell back onto my bed, and before I could even contemplate what had happened with Daniel, my mom called dinner.
"Mom! I'm not coming down for dinner" I called, not moving from my spot.
"Are you sick?"
"No!" Then I heard Bridget tell my mom something about "heart sickness."
"Shut up Bridget!!!!!" I screamed, and shoved my face into my pillow.
Bridget's never going to leave me alone I thought to myself But luckily I'll never see Daniel again. He hates me now. I thought I should probably be happy about Daniel not talking to me. Then I wouldn't have to deal with him always asking me to be a princess.
But somehow, the prospect of it just made me sad.
