Daniel gave me a wide grin and danced around his room happily. I giggled as I watched him.

"You know" I told him "If time doesn't pass, then I guess I could stay for a little longer." He had stopped dancing, but when I said this, he started up again. I laughed once more and then started working on the project, but Daniel stopped me.

"We have all the time in the world to do a project!" he exclaimed "Let's go exploring!!" He grabbed my hand and pulled me down all the stairs and out behind the castle. We were now in a large forest that seemed to glitter in the sunlight. In the distance I heard a waterfall. The rushing water calmed me and I immediatley wanted to go looking for it.

"We can do that if you'd like" he told me, once again reading my mind. I nodded slowly and he began pulling me again. We would stop once and a while to listen for it. Eventually, we found it. It was much bigger than I had imagined, but not quite as loud.

"Want to go swimming?" asked Daniel.

"In our clothes? I don't know.." And when I looked down I saw that my clothes had already been placed with a bathing suit. I rolled my eyes and jumped into the chilly water. Daniel followed me, splashing me in the face with his jump.

"Gotcha!" he laughed and I splashed him back. It soon turned into a full out water battle. The warm day, perfect for swimming, had grown even darker and colder than before.

"D-Daniel?" I asked, my teeth chattering "Why is it s-so c-cold?" Daniel shrugged as if he hadn't noticed it.

"The seasons change quickly" he muttered, and we both got out of the water. I was still wet, but back in my old clothes. Even though I had clothes on now, I was still shivering from the cold wetness. Daniel put his arm around me and we walked quickly back to the castle. He led me into the living room where a fire was already lit and draped a blanket around me.

"I'm sorry about that" he apologized "Seasons can come and go within hours." I nodded, finally starting to warm up.

"You should just sleep over" Daniel said. I shrugged, not knowing if this would be the best idea.

"Oh come on!" Daniel pleaded. I finally agreed and Daniel smiled. He led me up to the floor with his bedroom on it, but instead of turning right, we turned left.

"There's some pajamas on the bed" he muttered, and turned around to go back to his room. I opened the door to mine and gasped. There was a huge canopy bed and a whole wall full of books. I shut the door so I could change and went over to my bed to get my pajamas. When I held them up, I gasped. The shirt was stained with blood.
