"So did anything interesting happen in school today?" asked my mom.

"Well, we have a new student in our school" I told her, not mentioning any other parts of my day.

"Oh, that's nice. Is he or she in any of your classes?" she asked curiously. I took a sip of my milk and grinned secretely.

"Oh, a fair few" I said slyly. My older sister, Bridget, seemed to pick up on my secret, and immdiately started to tease me.

"Oooo. Juliette's got a boyfriend!!" she said with an annoying tone.

"Do not" I grumbled, my cheeks on fire.

"Wow, look at those cheeks blush!" my sister said to my mom. My mom gave Bridget a severe look that quieted her instantly. We all heard a knock on the door, and Bridget ran to get it.

"Juliette! It's for youuuu" she said in a tone that made me know that it was Daniel. I quickly wiped my lip, making sure there was no milk, and brushed crumbs off my shirt.

"Hi Juliette" said Daniel brightly, as I reached the door.

"Hi Daniel" I replied "What are you doing here?" A cloudy look crossed his face, and I knew I had said the wrong thing.

"Oh no, I meant.... Well..... How do you know where I live anyway?" He smiled and put a finger to his lips.

Oh great, a secret I thought to myself.

"Personally, I like secrets" he told me. My mouth dropped open as he entered my house.

"Nice house, but I know someplace much better" he said, green eyes flashing.

"Oh really?" I muttered, ignoring his bragging.

"Yes, now come with me." He grabbed my hand, and pulled out his coin again.

"Where are we goi...." But before I could finish my sentence, I was being sucked into a vortex. I wanted to scream, but it was ripping the air out of my lungs. I saw Daniel silently laughing at my struggled attempts, so I worked to calm down, and eventually closed my eyes.

"Why did you close your eyes" said a voice "We're here." I nervously opened one eye, and then the other, and gasped.
