Once we got back to the meeting spot Lukas pulled out the red bottle with the stuff that will make my eyes, my hair, and my fur reddish-brown. His potion thing wore off and he went back to normal. I put the other wolf potions I got from the store behind a tree in a little hole type thing.

"My turn," I faltered, I took the drink from him and held it up.

"You'll be fine," Lukas assured me, then added, "you're not scared, are you?"

I took a deep breath, "no." I swallowed the drink. I felt it run through me. "Ugh, That's weird."

"Yeah," Lukas agreed. He watched me for a few minutes.

"So, did it work," I asked, getting a little nervous.

"Ohh, uhh, yeah," He replied a little dazed.

"Why the hesitation?"

"No reason, you look pretty, you look like a fox," Lukas answered, "and your sister was right about those colors."

I ran my fingers through my hair, it was reddish-brown. The ends were darker red than the rest, but it looked cool. It turned into my animal form, my fur was like my hair, the tips of my tail, and I guessed my ears were darker. I turned human again.

"You ready," Lukas asked me, our eyes met.

"As ready as I'll ever be," I said.

"Ok," Lukas said, leading me to the other direction my home is.

"So, what are we going to do when we get there," I asked Lukas, as we walked through the woods.

"I think we are going to do the opposite of what I did with you at your house, where you meet my brother and his girlfriend first, then we go to the village," Lukas decided, "or maybe it's the same thing just longer, and they might come with us to the village."

"Wait... what about your parents," I asked, thinking, "now that I mentioned it, I don't recall you ever saying anything about your parents at all."

"Oh... right..." Lukas said sadly, "that's because... they, uh... died, three years ago."

"Oh, I'm sorry," I empathize, death is still a terrible thing even if you're not scared of dying or not, "how did they die?" The thought of your friends or family dying is scarier than the thought of yourself dying.

"A Fire," Lukas replied. We walked in silence for a few minutes. We were coming close to the edge of the woods.

When we came out of the woods it was like we were in someone's backyard. "Is this yours," I asked, pointing to the house.

"Yeah, that's my house," Lukas replied.

We walked up to a glass sliding door. Lukas opened the door enough for us to enter. The door led to the kitchen. There were two people in there. A guy who kind of looked like Lukas and a girl talking to him in front of him. She had red hair kind of like mine at the moment. That must be his older brother and the girl must be his brother's girlfriend. They hadn't noticed us yet.

"Going to the village with us more will be good for him, I'm kind of worried about him," Then she noticed us, "oh... hey Lukas," she looked at me, "and who might you be."

"This is Kayla, my friend," Lukas told her.

Her eyes popped out in surprise, "Really... Okay," She said slowly, "Hey Kayla, I'm Sherah."

"And I'm Chase, Lukas's older brother," His brother added.

"Nice to meet you," I said politely.
