I took a deep breath, "so when I drink this my hair will turn black and my eyes will turn blue," I held the bottle up and unscrewed the lid. She nodded. I took another deep breath, "here goes nothing."

I tilted the bottle up and drank it. It didn't taste good exactly, but it didn't really taste bad. I could sort of feel it run through me. I looked at my hands, nothing looked different so far. Kayla was staring at me in amazement, so I know something happened.

I smirked, "so anything new?"

"Your hair, ... It's ... black," She informed me, "and your eyes are blue!"

"You sound surprised," I replied, I ran my hands through my hair, it felt the same as normal, "isn't that what the stuff in the bottle was supposed to do.

"Well, I didn't exactly think it was going to work," Kayla explained, looking a little embarrassed, "I'm glad it worked though."

I turned into my animal form and looked at my fur. It's now a dark gray, more like Kayla's fur color. "Cool," I ran in a circle, "do I look more like a wolf?"

"Yeah," Kayla said, turning into her wolf form, "you really do."

"Okay, let's go," I urged.

"This way," Kayla said, leading the way.

I followed her through the woods. This is deeper than I have ever explored. Excitement bolted through me. I'm going to see what it's like to be a wolf.

A few minutes later, I could see the woods ending ahead. "Is that it," I asked.

"Yep," she replied. We emerged out of the woods. We turned back to our human forms. "Welcome to my home."

"Woah," I breathed, "You live in a castle."

"Sort of," Kayla replied, "My dad is the Alpha, so we have a library, a work room, and a bunch of other stuff that other people don't normally have."

"Speaking of your dad," I asked, thinking ahead, "when I meet him am I supposed to bow or anything like that?"

"No," Kayla mused, "Okay so we got a hour and a half before we head back, so let's go to the village first for half a hour then come back here."

I nodded.

A girl opened the door and came out onto the porch. She looked a lot like Kayla, just older. She waved.

"Who's that," I asked.

"My sister," Kayla said. She sighed, "I guess you should meet her first, then we'll go to the village." We walked over to the porch, where her sister was.

"Hi, I'm Jessica," her sister introduced, "and you must be Lukas."

"Yeah," I replied, not knowing what to say. I looked to Kayla for clues, on what to do. "uh..."

"We're going to the village," She said, saving me from confusion.

"Okay," Jessica said, she smiled at me, "see you later."

Kayla grabbed my hand and started gently leading me around the house. I sort of froze not sure what to do. It was the first time Kayla touched me. Jessica seemed especially interested in our intertwined hands. Kayla realized what was happening. She froze and started blushing, too. She dropped my hand and just motioned for me to follow her.

"Come on," she said, "The village is this way." She led me around the house.

I saw the village, it wasn't that faraway. A few minutes later we reached the edge of the village. It sort of looked like my village, except more royal, I guess.
