I leaning against the tree in my human form, waiting for Lukas. Where was he? And what was taking him so long to get here? I closed my eyes and listened. I could hear someone crashing behind me. I sniffed the air. Yeah, it's Lukas in his fox form. I feel him crouch down, about to pounce on me. He pounces and I swiftly move out of the way, so that he misses, and falls to the ground in front of me.

"Oww," Lukas moaned in pain, "How did you know I was coming?"

"I could hear you, smell you, and felt the vibrations," I smiled, "nice try though."

"Like wolf super senses?" Lukas asked. He changed back to his human form.

"Yeah," I nodded, "Like that." I offer my hand to help pull him up.

"Cool," He takes it and pulls himself up off the ground.

"Anyway, what took you so long?" I asked, "I've been waiting for you for the past ten minutes."

"I ran into some complications," He replied.

I looked at him suspiciously, "What kind of complications?"

"Umm so... yeah," Lukas said, uncomfortably.

I wait for him to continue.

"Okay, my brother found out that you are a wolf and not a fox," He admitted.

"What! How?" I faltered.

"They... uh... I... told them?" Lukas mumbled.

"What, why would you tell them," I asked.

"It was an accident, you- I mean I didn't mean to," he stammered.

"So what happened?" I continued.

"I- Yeah I can't come up with anything, the truth is they saw us when we were on our way into the wood," Lukas explained, "I just didn't want you to feel bad about it, and, I mean, it was my fault for not getting us out of there in time."

"Oh...," I said thinking.

Lukas didn't say anything. He looked kind of sad and guilty.

"It wasn't your fault," I comforted, "and even if it was it doesn't matter that much. What happened when they found out?"

"They said that I'm not allowed to meet with you anymore."

"But you're here...," I said confused.

"Yeah, uhh," Lukas blushed, "I may have sneaked out..." He pauses to see how I react.

"So no one knows that you're here," I concluded.

He nodded, "except for Sherah, she's helping me."

"Wait so where does Chase think you are?" I asked.

"Umm... he... thinks I'm with Adriana," he said.

"Adriana?"

"Yeah, I mean not that it matters," Lukas muttered.

"Yeah...," I trailed off.

"So what do you do when you're not exploring?" Lukas asked.

"I read, draw, play Minecraft...," I replied.

"You can draw?"

"Yeah," I replied, "oh yeah, I just remembered something." I pulled a square of paper out of my back pocket and unfolded it. It was the drawing that I made yesterday and the day before. The one with me and Lukas, back to back, with our arms crossed in the woods. I showed it to him.

"Wow," Lukas said in awe, "You're amazing."

My face heated up at the compliment, "Thanks." I mumbled.
