So I led Sherah back through the woods.to the fox village. Her arm was around me and she was leaning on me. I don't know if she would be able to stand without me to lean on.

"So how long have you known Lukas and Chase?" I asked, trying to start up a conversation.

"I've known Chase for eight years, and I have known Lukas for... seven years, I think," Sherah replied.

"Cool," I said.

"How about you?" Sherah asked back, "How long have you known Lukas?"

"A little more than a month, I think," I answer, "It feels like longer though, maybe it's just because I'm closer to him then really anybody else. That's what best friends are right. Your closest friend."

"How well do you know him?"

"Pretty well," I thought about it, "He likes to explore in the woods, and he likes to play minecraft. His birthday is on March sixth. His greatest fear is dying, he sometimes likes surprises and reading. His favorite books are Venture to the End, and The Treasure of Iris. He's not really good at drawing. His parents died three years ago. His favorite color is orange or red, and his favorite food is meat balls. His favorite sport is basketball and his biggest pet peeve is when people ruffle his hair. He doesn't really know what he wants to be when he grows up. He's more messy than organized, but can be really organized if he needs to be. More of a night person than a morning person. I also know his great secret but I can't tell you," I explained, "And he has a secret admirer, who really only likes him for his looks and not his sweet personality, his humor, and how brave he is."

"Wow," Sherah seems really surprised, "You do know him, you might know him better than me."

"Well even though we haven't known each other for that long, whenever we meet in that spot in the woods, we mainly just talk for an hour or two. So we have gotten to know each other pretty well."

"Cool," Sherah accepted, "Lukas is lucky to have a friend like you." We shared a smile as we continued on.

After a little while we emerged from the trees. The Sun shone brightly and washed over us, as if it was happy to see us. I look around, it looks just like it did the last time I was here. Beside the fact that there is a fox in the yard.

Chase seems to be looking for Sherah. "Sherah?" he said as we came out of the woods. He couldn't see me yet. I continued into the light to where he could see me. "You!" Chase growls. He ran over and grabbed Sherah's hand and pulled her away from me. He held up a sword.

I immediately raised my hand in surrender, "What are you doing? I was helping her."

"You are a monster. You kidnapped my brother and you wolves are holding him captive." Chase glared at me.

"I didn't kidnap Lukas, and neither did any of the wolves, he was captured by hunters." I am kind of offended that he thinks that I would do that, "Sherah, you can back me up, right?" I looked at Sherah hopefully.

"Chase, Kayla didn't capture Lukas. Hunters did and Kayla's going to save him, no matter who is willing to help her," Sherah tried, Chase expression didn't change, "Chase, listen to me, Kayla is willing to risk her life to save your brother. She's not the bad guy here."

Chase turned back to me, "you're making her say that. You took him and now you're forcing my girlfriend to lie to me."

"I... I didn't...," I can't speak against that, Chase is never going to believe me. He really hates wolves that much.

"Get away from us," he growled.

I walked backward slowly then turned into my animal form and turned around and jumped the rest of the way into the woods. With the covers of the tree I went a little deeper to make sure that Chase couldn't see me anymore.
