The young witch locked the door and hid in the shower.
This was an obvious place but she had no choice. What else could she do?It was then when she heard a crash. Her heart skipped a beat. They were inside. She closed her eyes and and held her breath.
"I think I heard something coming from the room." One said. He must obviously be a rookie vampire. Spells and chants went through her mind as she tried to find something to fight back with.Phasmatos radium calaraa
That was one her sister always used to use to cloak herself and give her a jumpscare with.
"Phasmatos radium calaraa," She whispered and stood up to look in the mirror. Her reflection was evident. She used the wrong phrase or maybe she is not a witch. What if everyone has it wrong? Perhaps she has a twin somewhere in Russia or Brazil. The possibility felt more real than her being a witch."Marcel said she has to be around here."
"Well, she isn't."
"We'll come back tomorrow. I have a date at 6."Wow. They really were idiots. She stayed quiet for another hour before coming out. She knew it was time for her to leave. They knew where she was and she was not willing to die just yet. She had to find Bastianna. The question was: Where?
The redhead grabbed her bag that was hidden under the coach and and looked through the cupboards to find food. She took some tins and other foods to put into her bad. (Luckily, she did have some food and water bottles already from before.) She climbed through the gaping hole in the wall. No matter what she had to find her family.
It was getting dark so she had to move quickly. The thought of how fast her life changed in merely one day scared her. She walked down a hill and moved alongside the dirt road.
A car was driving toward her. She needed to get to the French Quarter. They would never expect her to be back. She just had to avoid the date that the vampire had. She ran and jumped next to it but instead it just drove past. She sighed and walked on. People really were scared to help. Well, she would also be too scared to stop for a stranger when the sun was going down.
The young witch took out a water bottle and drank some water. She never had this much exercise before. If Marcel would find her now she would be dead.
As the sun set she finally was welcomed by lights. She was close. A small smile formed. She was relieved to finally be back. Where could she go? Home was never an option, the abandoned building was a target and well, any place where the vampires were known for being was off limits. She walked down the streets and wondered around. The streets were much more frightening in the dark.
"Aurora?"
She quickly looked to her right. An unfamiliar woman walked out of the bar.
Her fear heightened, "Who are you?"The woman smiled shyly, "My name is Sophie," She paused noticing Aurora's distress, "I'm a witch too. I saw you being called up, today."
"Okay," Aurora replied as soft as possible."Don't worry you can trust me."
She wanted to scoff. Apparently, everyone wanted her to trust them and yet the only person she actually trusted at the moment was her sister."What are you doing out here alone? It is dangerous."
"Yeah."
She quickly looked for a daylight ring but found none.
"Vampires attacked me."Concern filled her eyes, "Weren't there any witches around to help you?"
"Bastianna locked me up and tried to isolate me. Vampires followed, though."
With that Aurora turned to walk away.
"Wait! I can help you. Come stay by me for tonight."
She stood for a few seconds before hesitantly nodding.Sophie walked toward a car and turned toward her, "You coming?"
It could be a trap. She had no other option, though.
They started driving toward the destination. A block of flats stood before them. They exited the car.
Aurora slowly followed Sophie as she walked toward it. Her flat was on the first floor.
As she put the key in and turned it many fears mover through Aurora's body.
It was settled when the door opened and instead they were welcomed by beautiful interior. Sophie had good taste.Aurora followed her into the house. "Okay, so the coach should be a good fit for you. Shower is that door over there," She paused and gestured toward the door, "After that we can talk about what the plans are for the future."
"Okay!" The young witch took her backpack and walked straight toward the shower. She needed a good, warm shower after all that she went through.
After around seven minutes she climbed out and got dressed. She found beige PJ's with a floral print on it.
A box of pizza lied on the counter."Yum! I'm starving!" She rushed to sit on the coach. Sophie already sat and was eating a slice.
"Pizza is the best thing," Sophie stated.
"Yip.""Hmm..."A piece of mushroom fell on her top. I started laughing. "What's wrong?" She raised an eyebrow with a smirk growing on her face.
"Mushroom!" I pointed at her top. She looked down and started to giggle.
