Aurora woke up first and climbed off the couch. She dressed in a baby pink tank top with a black vest underneath it and jean shorts.
She put on the white sandals and grabbed a slice of bread whilst waiting for Sophie to wake up.After 10 minutes Sophie finally walked into the living room.
"Come on Aurora, we're going to be late." She shouted whilst thinking Aurora was still asleep. When she saw the young witch she jumped back and held her chest, "You gave me a fright," She gave a hearty laugh, "This is a first. You actually being awake."
They walked out and climbed in the car and drove off.
"Sophie, do you think we'll actually find my parents?"
"Of course. I know that yesterday was a bit of a let down but I am sure that tonight we'll get lucky."
"Yeah..."They arrived after five minutes.
Throughout the day Aurora sat out of everyone's way writing a bit in her journal. She kept on wondering and thinking about the vampire that called himself Elijah. He truly captured her interest."I'm going on a break. We should take a walk to the market to buy some food."
Aurora nodded and stood up. They walked to a stall and both ordered a chicken burger.
"Why you so quiet?" Sophie asked.
"No reason..."
"Remember if you want to say or ask anything feel free to. I'm here for you."After a bit of silence Aurora finally opened her mouth to speak but closed it again. This process repeated a few times. The though of how stupid she must look at the moment made her cheeks turn pink.
"Sophie, why was Elijah there?"
The brunette turned to her and sighed, "Well, he and I are trying to work things out-"
"You in a relationship with him?" Aurora blurted out.
She merely let out a laugh, "Oh no. You cut me off before I could finish speaking. It's about a deal."
"And is he on our side?"
"Not completely."
Aurora turned to her shocked, "Then why did you want me to tell him about me?"
"I'll still tell you in the future. You'll understand."A frown darkened the redhead's face. Could she even trust Sophie? Should she?
She sighed when she turned to her again and saw genuine concern in her eyes. Sophie was not going to hurt her.A feeling of being watched came from behind. This was the same feeling that she felt after the ritual. Someone must be following them. She turned around and saw people walked behind them. But no one stood out. She fastened her pace. Sophie followed with a questioned look, "What's going on?"
"I think someone is following us." She whispered. They both picked up pace when they saw a tall and quite bulky guy that hid under a grey hoodie walk faster too.It was the when she realised that she was basically looking for trouble by walking freely around in a place where Marcel could find her at any moment.
She looked behind again and saw the same familiar figure. He had been following them.
Sophie grabbed her hand tightly as the took a different turn. They were going to take a different route to the bar.
When they finally arrived Sophie said in between breaths, "We... Are... Taking... You home."
Aurora rushed to the car and climbed in waiting for Sophie to climb in too.
A minute or two passed... But still...
Nothing. The young girl looked around as her hand became damp and her breath still fast. She felt her heart beat in her throat.
She looked out of the window but saw nothing. The panicked witch opened the door up slowly and called out her name but there was no reply. An icy chill ran through her body and she quickly climbed out of the car. Sophie's unconscious body was lying on the pavement next to the car.
Oh, Shit...
"Sophie..." She mumbled to herself as she quickly tried to lift her body up. As she dragged it a gust of wind erupted behind her. She turned around to find nothing.
