Game Of Attractions // Klaus and Elijah (8)

A loud knock reverberated. My eyes shot open. "Aurora, are you in there?" 

The voice seemed familiar but barely. I don't think I'm fully awake yet. Maybe I'm just imagining it. As my eyes slowly started to close again another knock irrupted. I groaned while slowly waddling over the bed. I lost my balance on the edge making me fall and hit the ground. Luckily landing on my bum. 

"Aurora?" The masculine voice questioned. "Coming," I mumbled, gradually getting back up. I walked towards the door and opened it, "Yes?" A yawn escaped my lips.  Elijah stood before me, his hands stuck into his suit's pockets, "I see you were sleeping." An amused expression appeared on his face.

"Yeah..." I trailed off. My eyes lids still feeling quite heavy. "I apologize if I interrupted; I shall leave you to your sleeping." He apologized and started to walk away. "Wait, Elijah," I called making him stop, "Don't worry about my sleeping." He turned around and nodded.

"Why were you here?" I asked. "I wanted to ask you if you would like to take a walk." I walked past him, "Okay let's go." 

We walked down the stairs and through the sitting room. Hayley was sitting on the couch and was going through an unknown book. She looked up and saw us two, "Where are you two going?" 

"Just for a walk," Elijah replied while opening the door. "Okay, well... Don't be too long. You know how Klaus gets." Hayley bluntly advised while looking back down to the book, flipping a few pages clearly bored. 

"I never thought you would care about Klaus' reactions." Elijah said amused. Hayley looked back up at us, "I don't. I just saw Klaus came back pissed off at something and I don't want him taking it out on one of you two." Elijah opened the door and waited for me to exit first. 

"Thank you, Hayley. We'll be back soon," I thanked her while walking out of the door. Elijah nodded at her as he walked out and closed the door behind him.

Wow, I took a nap for a long time... It's already dark. Elijah picked up his pace and started walking next to me. 

It was silent for a while, until Elijah decided to break the silence, "What were you and my brother speaking about earlier today?" I looked up at him, noticing our height difference, "Nothing much, he was just asking me if I have any enemies." 

He looked ahead of us before turning back to me, "Do you?"  

"Yeah, Marcel and his vampires." Everything looks so different in the night... All we have to guide us is the dim street lights and well... Elijah's vampire senses. "Don't worry about them I won't let anything happen to you." He said sincerely making me blush. What do you expect, I'm only human, well no I'm only a seasonal witch... Yeah lets go with that.

Rain drops started tapping on my head dripping down to my forehead. I stopped making him stop too. He gave me a bewildered expression. I started twirling around making Elijah chuckle, "That looks fun," He said sarcastically.

"It is." I giggled and then without thinking I grabbed Elijah's hands and try to make him twirl as well but for some reason he doesn't budge, "Come on."

"No" He shook his head and watched me amusingly. I dropped his hands. "Please," I pouted and gave him the puppy dog eyes. "If you say it like that then..." I waited for him to finish the sentence but just afterwards he grabbed my hands again and twirled me around. "That's the spirit," I giggled,  "I'm soaking wet."

He stopped and looked at me in awe, "You look beautiful." My cheeks turned all shades of red. Elijah wiped some of the raindrops from my cheeks away. It didn't really help since it was raining but hey... I didn't mind. 

We were so close... Our eyes locked on one another's. His chocolate brown eyes are just absolutely amazing. He grabbed the upper part of my arms and gracefully pulled me towards him. Now our faces were inches apart. Does he want to kiss me? That's so cute... Wait... NO... Aurora what are you thinking! I only met him a few days ago... But to honest that's the way I always wanted my first kiss to be.

He looked at me for a few seconds leaning in. I did absolutely nothing to stop him. Even though my head is telling me that this is wrong... He's a vampire... But my heart is telling me something else... It's not actually telling me anything. It's just beating very fast. Now only inches apart Elijah's phone starts to ring making him quickly pull away, "Hi," He started to speak.

Reality came rushing in. Why did I want to kiss him so bad? Probably just hormones. I mean isn't it everyone's dream to kiss a sexy vampire. Especially a mysterious, charming one... 

I heard a muffling sound coming from the phone. "Yes...Yes...On my way." He hung up his phone. "What's going on?" I asked curiously.

"Niklaus says it's curfew. You must come home." I lifted up my eyebrow not taking him seriously, "Really?" He nodded. Well he isn't joking. I was hoping he was though. That's just a bunch of bull... A curfew. Seriously... "Let's go." He said turning back. I followed him back, walking down the same isolated street. Eventually we returned...

"So where were you two? If you haven't noticed, it's raining!" Klaus scorned emphasizing the raining part.

"Goodnight Aurora." Elijah said completely ignoring Klaus. Klaus looked surprised at Elijah's reaction. He probably expected an apology or something. Go Elijah... Stick it to the Klaus. Elijah walked past Klaus leaving me alone with him. "So what were you and Elijah doing?" He questioned. "We just took a walk." I replied softly. Yeah... There is no way I'm telling him about the almost kiss. 

"In the rain!" He exclaimed gloomy. "Yes, in the rain." I answered annoyed, "Anyways when we left it wasn't raining." I don't need a mom, especially not a Klaus-mom. Those are the worst. We just stood there in silence.

"Well... I think I should also go to bed." I turned around and walked towards the stairs.

Klaus sped right in front of me making me stop.

 "Goodnight, love," He kissed my hand and walked away... I stood there in shock not being able to reply. What just happened?

 Eventually I regained composure and made my way upstairs. Where do Elijah and Klaus keep disappearing to? Even though I'm with them I feel like I don't know the whole story. 

Lets just say I feel like the 3rd wheel. Well, 4th wheel if you include Hayley... I sit on my bed and take out my diary and start writing in it...
