what's up everyone? i hope you're having a great day :)

Y/n's POV:
[a little bit of background info: Y/n got into Wall Rose safely and is planning to join the military]

I'm about to go stand in line for military training, when I hear a familiar, timid voice coming up behind me.

"Y/n?"

I twirl around, eyes wide, even though that's not really going to help me see better or anything, it's kind of a reflex.

"Armin?" then I hear some more familiar footsteps. "Eren? Mikasa?"

The footsteps have now broken into a run and I'm tackled into a huge hug. It felt good to have my friends presence there again. A few tears almost spilled, but I blinked them back.

Armin, on the other hand, was sobbing.

"Oh my god! We thought you died! I'm so happy that you're alive! We missed you so so so much Y/n!" he said, sobbing into my shirt. I smiled at them, happier than I've ever been in a long time. After a while, we all got composed again and talked for a bit.

"So, what caused you guys to join the scouts? If I remember correctly, you said I was crazy, and suicidal to do it." I say, smiling.
"I want to avenge my mom. I'm going to kill all of the titans and make them pay!" Eren said.
"Oh, Eren, I'm so sorry about your mother." I say, sympathetically. He nodded and sadly smiled.
"Where Eren goes, I go." Mikasa said.
"I didn't want to be alone, and if there was a chance of finding you, I realized that it would be by joining the scouts." Armin said.

"What happened to your family? Are they okay? I loved your folks so much, they were so nice." Eren said. I looked down and shook my head.

"They're both dead."
"I'm so sorry, Y/n." they said. I opened my mouth to say something else, when they called us forward. We immediately went into the line, but we were separated and placed into our spots.

"STRAIGHTEN THOSE SPINES, PISSHEADS! THE 104TH CADET BOOTCAMP STARTS NOW! ALLOW ME TO INTRODUCE MYSELF.  IM COMMANDER KEITH SHADIS AND YOU WILL GROW TO HATE ME."

Well, he got one thing right. I hate him already. All of his screaming is making my head hurt.

"TRAINING IS GOING TO BE A WHITE KNUCKLE RIDE THROUGH HELL. IF IVE DONE MY JOB, YOULL BE WAKING UP IN COLD SWEAT WITH MEMORIES OF THIS PLACE FOR EVERY NIGHT OF YOUR MISERABLE LIVES!"

Why am I here again?

"RIGHT NOW, YOURE NOTHING. LIVESTOCK! BUT OVER THE NEXT THREE SOUL CRUSHING YEARS, YOULL LEARN TO TAKE DOWN YOURE OWN GOLIATH. REMEMBER THIS MOMENT WHEN YOU COME FACE TO FACE WITH HIM. CUZ HERES WHERE YOU AS YOURSELF: AM I A FIGHTER? OR AM I FEED?"

I am a fighter.

"AM I GOING TO BE GROUND UP TO PULP OF HUMAN TEEN BOULDER SIZERS? OR AM I GOING TO BE THE ONE TO BITE?!"

I'm not just going to bite. I'm going to be the one to kill.

*small time skip*
I might die before I get to kill a titan because this guy is really getting on my nerves. He went around just yelling at everyone. Before I knew it, it was my turn.

"WHO THE HELL ARE YOU?!"
"Y/N L/N, SIR!"
"WHY IN HELL WOULD YOUR PARENTS LET YOU COME HERE?"
"THEY DIDNT, SIR! I CAME ON MY OWN ACCORD!"
"WHERE ARE YOU FROM, CADET?!"
"SHIGANSHINA, SIR!"
"WHY THE HELL ARE YOU HERE?!"

I take a deep breath. I already know my answer.

"TO KILL ALL OF THE TITANS AND SAVE HUMANITY, SIR!"
"THATS WHAT I LIKE TO HEAR!"
