"So where exactly are we going?" I said breaking the silence.Daichi and Sugawara looked at each other then smiled.
"Home." Suga said in a comforting tone.
Everyone else smiled along with him. The empty feeling we had about leaving seemed to fade for a moment.
Later that evening we arrived at a small cottage. It was covered in flowers and hidden behind many trees. As we walked in the smell of scented candles overwhelmed us. It was almost too sweet for me. But it was warm and welcoming.
A few moments later we heard someone call from the kitchen.
"Yahoo."
"Oikawa?" Kageyama's tone of voice was unreadable. It was going to be so amusing staying with them.
"Hey! Hey! Hey!" Another voice called from the top of stair case.
"Bokuto-san!" I called out as he practically bounced down the stairs. Everyone began smiling. After what had happened on the way here, our bodies relaxed. Finally we felt some sort of safety.
The living room was pretty much decorated in houseplants and candles. It felt like a mini forest. I'm pretty sure one of the houseplants was taller than me. It was a pretty spacious home. But could it really hold all of us? I mean, there was an entire group of us.
"Are you not even gonna offer our guests coffee crappykawa?" Iwaizumi hissed at him shoving him into the refrigerator door.
"Mean." He muttered under his breath. I'm pretty sure he purposely made it loud enough so that iwaizumi could hear. Oikawa liked to do petty things like that.
We settled into the living room but there wasn't enough room on the sofa for all of us. Me and Kenma ended up being squished between Bukoto and Akaashi. I could tell the close contact made Kenma uncomfortable as he gripped his switch without even turning it on.
Kageyama was sat on the edge of the sofa, arms crossed. Probably still shaken up by what happened earlier. If I wasn't squished between two mountains, I would have gotten up and comforted him.
Everyone was rambling on about various different topics. Kenma ended up falling asleep next to me. Gradually, a few others drifted off. I enjoyed the calmness whilst it lasted knowing it wasn't always going to be this way.
Oikawa, Iwaizumi, Bokuto and Akaashi had started living together a while ago, despite there schools being so far apart. The cottage they lived in was more like a shelter. A place for ghouls to stay until they got there lives together. Which is why I have to enjoy this peace whilst it lasts. Because this is only our temporary home.
The room pretty much fell silent until, I was the only one left awake. I couldn't sleep much that night and decide to head into the garden with the only item, besides a few hoodies, I packed. A volleyball.
"Wow." I said in awe.
Iawizumi liked gardening, but I didn't know he was this good. I was almost scared to bounce my volleyball incase I damaged any of the plant pots. Luckily, they had a small court built on the deck.
The garden really was beautiful. It had a small waterfall which you could hear trickling in the background. Everything else was just covered in green plants that were beginning to blossom. It was only the end of April so not many of them had fully bloomed yet. I hoped we could stay long enough to see the flowers fully bloom. The garden would be perfect by then.
In the end I decide it was too dark to mess around with the ball. Or maybe it was because I didn't want to break anything. The sky was clear and full of stars. That night I just gazed at the endless constellations. Was there another world out there? Or are we completely alone?
