Breaking: ARCADIUM Chairman's Wife Arrested For Kidnapping Air Korea Pilot
ARCADIUM Chairman Park Jae-hyuk's wife, Park Jisoo, has been arrested for the kidnapping of Air Korea pilot Kim Namjoon. According to Seoul Chief of Police Kang Sehun, Kim, 28, was kidnapped right in front of the ARCADIUM building on Monday, Feb. 1. CCTV footage shows that the pilot was taken by the former beauty queen's accomplices, Choi Dongwon and Yang Sangwoo, and was forcibly shoved into the backseat of Choi's car. Kim was taken to a hideout in Gangbuk-gu wherein he was held for six hours.
In a statement to the press, ARCADIUM Vice President Min Yoongi said that Park Jisoo, 29, demanded that her stepson, Park Jimin, should step down as the company's CEO in exchange for Kim's freedom. The CEO and the pilot are in a romantic relationship and have been together for the past six months. Along with this, Park Jisoo also asked for 2 billion won to be deposited to a KEB Hana Bank account. Upon investigation, it was found that the bank account belonged to Sung Nayeon, a former ARCADIUM employee who was terminated for grave misconduct. Sung has been arrested and is currently detained at the Yongsang-gu police station.
