Six months later...

Serendipity, en route to Malta ✈

Jimin gazes out of the window of his private jet, excited to be flying to Malta with his boyfriend-- and a few of their close friends. After six stress-filled months of work and dealing with the whole Jisoo situation, it's clear that no one deserves this holiday more than the CEO.

To Jimin's immense relief, his father survives after being shot in the chest. It was a slow recovery process, but after several weeks in the hospital, he was discharged with a strict reminder from the doctor to take it easy, quit drinking, and basically avoid any sort of activity that would be bad for his heart. Jae-hyuk grumbles, but follows his doctor's orders anyway. Apart from regular visits to check on him, Jimin goes one step further and hires a full-time bodyguard to protect his father from anyone who would wish to harm him. After seeing him lying on the floor drenched in blood, the CEO wasn't taking any chances.

He tried to get a dedicated security detail for Namjoon too, but the pilot firmly refused, pointing out the many inconveniences of being tailed 24/7. Apart from thinking that it was wholly unnecessary, Namjoon didn't want to draw attention to himself, insisting that he'll be fine even without a bodyguard.

The weeks that followed after the gun shooting incident was a blur of constant activity for Jimin. Not only did he have to testify several times in court, but he also had to reassure all their investors and board members that the future of ARCADIUM is safe and in good hands. Some of the older board members were shaken by what happened to the chairman, and since they were traditionalists, they had no qualms expressing their doubts about Jimin's leadership capabilities. Jimin suspects that it has something to do with his age-- and the fact that he's gay.

Those doubts were promptly shattered after Yoongi, eyes narrowed and with barely contained rage, presented a 20-minute report on the significant growth and success of the company once Jimin became the CEO. To bring his point home, Yoongi made sure to mention  ARCADIUM's projected growth of $500 million in six years,  which made the board members do a grudging 180, saying that yes, Park Jimin is definitely the future of the company.

That night, Jimin and Namjoon treated Yoongi to a lavish steak dinner. Afterwards,  at their favorite bar, they got terribly drunk, the couple on red wine and Yoongi on whiskey, and Yoongi ends up crying into his whiskey glass, sniffling about how much he loves them both and that he's so happy that they ended up together.

"I would fight anyone who would try to get between the two of you," Yoongi slurs, licking at a rivulet of whiskey dripping down the side of his glass. "Just say the word Baby G, I'mma sic Holly on them... Namjoon, have you met Holly? Bestest. Dog. Everrrrr."

"Oh my Goooooood, it's trueeee," Jimin wails, throwing his arms around Namjoon's neck. "Min Holly is the sweetest dog... I want a dog, darling. When are we gonna get a dog? Let's get one!"

"Fuck yeah!" Namjoon cries out,  flinging out his arm and upending a small bowl of nuts on the table. "I'll- I'll get you a dog. I'll get you five dogs, baby-- no, make that 10! Anything for my sweet Fairy Prince!"

"But if we get a dog I'll still be your baby, right? I'd be your number one baby, then the plants, then ahhh, the baby dog?" Jimin pouts.

"Course you're my baby," Namjoon slurs, hiccupping while pulling Jimin to sit on his lap. "Always be my babyyy..."

"Oh God, can you like, not make out in front me?" Yoongi complains as the two begin to  drunkenly lick into each other's mouths.

"Well if you weren't being such a dweeb Yoonkitty, I told you to date--"
