Namjoon stepped out of Jimin's office, slightly dazed at everything that transpired inside the luxurious room. What happened in there was perhaps one of the most tender moments that he has ever experienced in his entire life. No one has ever kissed him the way Jimin had, as if he was someone precious, someone loved.
In the past, whenever he would kiss other people, it would seem all hot and heavy, with some of them moaning in his mouth and grinding on his leg as he made out with them. But he felt nothing at all, and every single time, he would keep his eyes open, coolly observing whoever it is that's on the receiving end of his kisses.
It was different with Jimin. The boy merely kissed him on the cheek and he melted. Kim Namjoon, the legendary cad, almost teared up at the feel of Jimin's lips on his skin.
The pilot couldn't say anything after the kiss. All he could do was give Jimin a warm smile while he signed the papers, and after giving the CEO his number and all his other contact details, he promised to be available for the next weekend so he could take Jimin wherever it is that he needed to be.
Namjoon was waiting for the elevator to take him down to the lobby when a blonde man in a light grey shark skin suit approached him. Privately, Namjoon thought that the guy looked a little like a very stylish mob boss, and while the blonde hair made him look cold and aloof, the shorter man's gummy smile made him feel more at ease.
"Kim Namjoon, is it?" the man asked.
"Yes, that's me" Namjoon affirmed.
"I'm Min Yoongi, ARCADIUM's Vice President. On behalf of everyone else in the company, I'd like to welcome you to the team," said Yoongi, offering his hand to the other boy to shake.
As Namjoon shook hands with the executive, he couldn't escape the feeling that he knows Yoongi from somewhere before.
"I know this is weird, but have we met before?" Namjoon asked.
"Yeah, I was gonna ask you the same thing," said the blonde. "Ok, this sounds a bit strange, but have you done some rapping? Like when you were in high school?"
"Yes," the pilot warily answered. After a moment, Namjoon's eyes widened in recognition and he gasped, "No! You're Gloss, aren't you?"
"That's right," Yoongi drawled. "Hang on...you're...no, could it be...is that you, Runch Runda?"
"Wow hyung, it's been a while!" said Namjoon, laughing while they exchanged high fives.
The two have been doing a series of complicated handshakes and fist bumps when Jimin came out of his office, and seeing his best friend and Namjoon's easy interaction baffled the CEO. He knew for a fact that Yoongi can be aloof or downright rude when it comes to other people, but the fact that his best friend was being nice to his new pilot gave Jimin a sense of relief.
"Uh, did I miss something?" Jimin asked, his eyes alight with curiosity.
Turning to Jimin, Yoongi exclaimed, "Ya, Baby G! This is the guy I was telling you about! You know, the guy who battled me in that underground rap battle in Seoul?"
Namjoon's eyes widened at the nickname, and fighting to control his laughter, stammered, "B-Baby G?"
Jimin's cheeks grew pink and he swatted Yoongi's arm in protest. "Baby G was a one-time thing you idiot!" the silver-haired boy exclaimed. "Your singer didn't show up and you begged me to perform Tony Montana with you for that stupid mall opening gig Yoonkitty!"
"Hold on," said Namjoon, completely tickled at the idea of Jimin singing and rapping. "So Sajangnim, you used to perform with Gloss?"
"It was a one-time thing!" Jimin insisted. "And please, don't call me Sajangnim, that's even worse than calling me Mr. Park. Just call me Jimin."
