Cool, calm, and collected. People would always use those words to describe Namjoon, who stays unfailingly cool even during a crisis. The staff at Air Korea would often talk about his unflappable quality, often telling stories about the time when he didn't even raise his voice or break into a sweat when an engine caught on fire just minutes before he was about to land a plane.
Heck, they were convinced that if a car blew up behind Namjoon, he'd just calmly walk away from it, perhaps in slow motion, looking handsome and badass. Just like a motherfucking action movie hero.
But right now, Namjoon felt anything but calm while he led Jimin by the hand into a traditional house in an unfashionable part of Seoul. He was nervous as hell-- he wanted so badly to have a romantic date with Jimin, but now, he wasn't sure if this was the right place for a first date with one of the wealthiest guys in Korea. The house looked like it previously belonged to a rich family, but time and lack of care turned it into the weathered version of its former glory.
Maybe he'll love the food, he thought to himself. Oh please, let him love the food.
"Joonie, are you sure we're in the right place?" Jimin said in a hushed tone as they stepped inside. "Aren't we trespassing or something?"
Mentally shaking off his uncertainty, Namjoon placed a hand on the younger's lower back, gently guiding him around the space that smelled faintly of age, faded rose petals, and a hint of something rich and savory.
"Nope, we're not trespassing," said Namjoon. "I know it doesn't look like it, but this is a restaurant, and it's one of those secret places that only die-hard foodies know about."
"I never knew that there was a place like this in Seoul," the younger said, eyes wide open as he took in the old pottery and jars decorating the place, and the sparkling chandelier on the high ceiling. "How did you find it?"
"Well, I never would have found it on my own," Namjoon admitted. Walking closer to the younger, he looped his arms around Jimin's waist and pulled him in for a backhug.
"Jin hyung's brother, Seokjung hyung, owns this place," Namjoon softly intoned while holding the beautiful boy in his arms. "He's too cool to go for conventional, hence, this secret restaurant."
Jimin turned so he could put his arms around the pilot. Hugging Namjoon close to him, the CEO smiled and kissed him on the cheek.
"I think I like it here already," he said, looking up at the taller boy and grinning at him.
"That's a relief," Namjoon said, tenderly tracing the shell of Jimin's ear with his fingers before cupping the side of his face with his hand. "I just want everything to be perfect for you."
With a sigh, Jimin leaned into the touch and gazed at Namjoon with so much warmth, and for a moment, the elder almost forgot to breathe.
"Perfect is overrated," Jimin said. "Honestly, even if you took me to a fast food place, I'd still love it. Because I'm with you."
Oh God.
That did it for Namjoon. With a guttural moan, he captured Jimin's full lips with his own, kissing him slowly, letting the push and pull of his lips say the words that he couldn't say out loud.
Pulling away so that they were just a breath away from each other, Namjoon murmured, "Thanks for telling me that. I really wanted to please you, you know."
"You do," said the younger with a grin. "You always do."
The two kept their arms around each other, whispering and stealing soft kisses as they walked towards the east wing of the house. Coming to a stop at a door that had the number 7 on it, Namjoon opened it for Jimin, allowing the younger to enter the room first.
