"Joonie, are you sure that this outfit doesn't make me look fat?" Jimin asks worriedly, turning from side to side in front of the full length mirror inside Namjoon's bedroom as he scrutinizes his outfit.

"Of course not," Namjoon says patiently, "You look gorgeous." Putting down his phone, he stands behind Jimin and puts his hands on the younger's hips. Pulling the CEO closer, Namjoon kisses the side of Jimin's neck.

"What's got you so worried?" he asks, planting kisses on the other's cheek while Jimin stares at their reflection in the mirror. Sighing, he raises a hand to thread through Namjoon's hair, and his body automatically relaxes at the feel of his boyfriend's broad chest on his back.

"I'm meeting your eomma next week," Jimin says, nervously fidgeting with the collar of the Tom Ford jacket. It arrived all the way from the flagship store in London, and he just had to try it on to see if it's suitable for meeting Namjoon's mom.

Wanting to wear something other than his usual all-black or black and white ensembles to meet his boyfriend's mother, he ordered an understated, light blue Western-style suede jacket with a cashmere lining and paired it with dark blue jeans and a plain white shirt. He just hopes that the outfit says look, this is casual but I'm still making an effort, and I swear I'm not like those chaebols in those godawful dramas, so please like me, eommonie.

Jimin is sure that he has never been this stressed in his whole life. He's met a lot of CEOs and world leaders. He's even shaken hands with President Obama at a charity event. Now, here he is, on the verge of shitting himself at the thought of meeting Namjoon's mother.

To be honest, he really doesn't know why he's so damn worried about this. Based on his lover's stories, his mom is kind, warm, and loving, and she raised Namjoon all by herself ever since his dad died when he was just seven years old.  However, Jimin also knows that she's smart and doesn't suffer fools gladly. And what's more, according to Namjoon, his mom is highly independent and has a strong bullshit radar, which is why she never dated anyone else after her husband died.

"I just want to make a good impression, Joonie," Jimin explains. "I'm meeting the woman who gave birth to you and raised you. And anyone who's had a hand in raising you has got to be awesome and brilliant. I don't want her to think that I'm just some spoiled, rich kid who's got nothing better to do than fuss about clothes and cars. Come to think of it, the Lamborghini's a little ostentatious to drive to Ilsan, isn't it? Maybe I better get that Hyundai after all..."

"Hey, none of that, you're nothing like that and you know it baby," Namjoon says firmly. Leading a whiny Jimin to the wingback chair by the window, he motions for the younger to sit while the pilot crouches down in front of him and cradles his face in his hands.

"Baby," he murmurs. "I didn't know that you'd be so worried about this. It's okay if you're not ready, we can just do this another time. I don't want to force you to do anything that you're not comfortable with, okay?"

"But I want to," Jimin whines, feeling even more like a big baby as he whines in front of his boyfriend. "I really want to darling! It's just... you know."

"No I don't," Namjoon says, putting a finger under Jimin's chin to tilt his head up. "Can you please tell me what's going on?"

Jimin takes a deep breath and meets Namjoon's gaze. Sighing, he throws his arms around the other and buries his face against the pilot's neck.

"It's just that, I've never met anyone's parents before," Jimin admits, his voice muffled as he talks with his lips pressed against Namjoon's skin. "This is all new to me, and I don't know what to do." Pulling back, he pecks Namjoon's lips and gives him a tremulous smile.
