Two months had passed since Drago was defeated, Berk had quickly returned to normal. Or so it seemed.
You were up at Gothi's hut, scrambling through a collection of ingredients, you'd been mixing them up all morning, getting frustrated once again.
You had been her assistant since you were 15, learning about remedies and medicines. You rarely went with her on her patrols, you'd mostly prepare them and help Gothi get what she needed.
See, you didn't see yourself as normal, you had an ability, well two in a way. One of them was telepathic. You could move objects by looking at them, which wasn't a problem as such, the other thing was always worrying you. It was a force like a shield that makes you able to shoot from your hands, powerful enough to knock down the stealthiest of Vikings. You'd actually flung Stoick a few feet away once when you were 14, luckily he blamed that on a dragon that happened to appear.
Your force was strong, you didn't know how or if you could control its intensity. You always lived in fear of accidentally revealing your power, if you did, you were afraid you'd be banished so to keep yourself and you your family safe, you kept a low profile. You'd always tell your parents it would be better if you left but they always managed to convince you to stay. You knew deep down, you could never leave them.

Your parents always told you what you had was a gift, meant for good things. But you didn't believe them.
You were happy enough working for Gothi, keeping yourself busy.
Now Stoick was gone, his son Hiccup was the new chief, you didn't see much of him growing up, he used to be a quiet, distant child like you, but after training his NightFury, defeating the RedDeath and bringing peace between Dragons and Viking's, he was always disappearing for days on end, exploring the world, doing heroic things with this friends. You'd always admired him for his kind personality and natural connection to dragons.

"God dammit." You mutter, falling backwards onto your butt, Gothi shakes her head and taps you on the shoulder, giving you the "go home." Look. You sigh loudly and stand up "alright, I'll see you tomorrow." She smiles and nods, watching you leave.
As soon as you exit her hut, a long tongue slides up your cheek "spear!" You groan, your male Triple Stryke, makes a laughing noise at you "not cool." You mutter, he rolls his eyes.
You begin checking your bag to make sure you had all the essentials, for emergencies, just in case. Better to be prepared.

You found Spike 5 years ago, you took a small boat to a nearby island, his wing was trapped under a fallen Boulder. You used your force to blast it away, he was skeptical of you at first. At that time not much was known about his species, turns out they are extremely cautious and rather defensive. It's took a few weeks of gaining his trust, but when did, you grew a strong bond quickly, he has shown to be loyal and protective of you.
Berkians were amazed you had managed to tame such a temperamental species, but to you he was a big old softie. Just takes him some time to warm up to people.

You were almost ready to go "just need one more thing." You say to Spear and run back into Gothi's hut, grabbing some cloth. Turning to leave, you weren't looking where you were going causing you crash into someone at the door.
"I'm so sorry!" You yell, reaching your hand out to the person who was now on the floor "it's alright, not harm done." He replies, you freeze seeing the chief, Hiccup sat on his butt, looking up at you with an amused expression "I wasn't looking where I was going." He chuckles "I'm clumsy like that."
He takes your extended hand, standing up, dusting off his clothes "say, you're (y/n) right? Gothi's assistant?" He asks, you nod "you own that triple Stryke? Impressive." He smiles "they aren't as mean as people think." You reply quietly "oh I know, someone I know had one too. Extremely loyal."
You stand in silence for a moment "well, it was lovely to talk to you, Chief. I have to go now, Spear gets annoyed if he has to wait around too long". You say awkwardly, Hiccup nods "great to finally talk to you, and please just call me Hiccup."
He steps to the side to let you pass, you climb onto spear, lifting up your hood and covering your mouth with your mask, Spear stretches out his wings and takes off. Hiccup watches you disappear into the clouds, Toothless nudges him "what?"

You fly for a few hours, barrel rolling, shooting your force at the clouds, separating them. It was nice to use your power with no one around.
You stop off at a beach, relaxing on the sand, soaking up the warm sun, occasionally parting the sea, seeing how far it could go, turns out it was quite far. In the corner of your eye you see a crab scuttling across the sand, you reach out and pick it up, admiring its pinchers "ha, looks kind of like you, doesn't it?" You say to spear, holding the crab up in front of him, he scoffs at you "it's true though." You laugh, putting the crab down. It immediately buries itself into the sand.
Spear snaps his head round, growling lowly, you turn to see a dragon walking towards you, with someone on its back.
It was Toothless and Hiccup, he spots you and smiles weirdly.
"Hey (y/n) I uh...ow!" He clutches onto his right leg, Toothless coos sadly at him "are you alright?" You ask, standing up "yeah, I mean...we had a bit of a bump. Flew too close to some trees, Toothless caught his tail and it ripped, causing us to fall." He explains "and your leg?" You question "oh, just scratched it." He says through gritted teeth, you raise an eyebrow and walk over to him, noticing his leg was soaked in blood "just a scratch?" You move your gaze from his leg to his eyes "uh..."

"Can you walk?" You ask, he bites his lip "not really, no." You hold your hand out "get down, let me have a look." He hastily climbs off, balancing on his prosthetic, you glance around "Spear can you grab a handful of large leafs?" Spear nods and flies off.
He returns, you place them down and help Hiccup sit down, resting his bleeding leg on the leafs.

Hiccup watches "can I ask, what's with the leafs?" You shake your head "you appear to have an open wound, and you do not want sand getting in there and scratching at the already exposed and sensitive skin." You explain, Hiccup shudders at the thought.
You take out a pair of scissors from your bag "I'm going to have to cut your trousers to access the cut." You explain "uhm...okay?" You begin cutting, focusing very carefully as to not touch the wound with the metal, you take some bits out of your bag, tying some string around his leg just above the opening, you look up to see a very confused expression on his face "reduces blood flow and slows down bleeding." You say he whispers a "ooooh."
"Are you feeling dizzy at all?" You ask him "a little bit I guess."
"You seem to have lost a fair bit of blood, it can make you feel light headed." The bleeding gradually slows down, you then begin cleaning the excess and dried blood off with water, after doing that, you take a jar full of a green gooey substance "what on earth is that?" Hiccup asks, his face scrunching up at the sight of it "something to give the cut an extra clean." You reply, smearing some onto the cloth he gently dabbing it against the exposed flesh making Hiccup hiss "I know, I'm sorry. But it does the job."

You rinse the wound again, dry it then wrap it up with cloth "and done." You lean back taking a deep breath "wow, thank you!" He moves his leg around "doesn't really hurt as much, now."
"It will as it heals."
"You're really good at this." He says "5 years of practice." You reply, not looking at him, putting your things back into the bag "do you always carry that stuff around?"
"Yeah, just in case anything happens to me or Spear."
"I'm glad Toothless found you, thank you again." You look up to see him smiling "of course, you're my chief. I'll always help you." His smile widens, he tries to stand up but you place your hands on his shoulders "Don't, you won't be able to walk for a while. Your Leg is probably going to be sensitive and since you lost a lot of blood trying to suddenly stand up is probably going to end up with you passing out, you need to be slow for a while." You explain, he settles back down "right, you're the expert!" He chuckles then suddenly pauses, looking very concerned "I'm not going to lose this leg as well am I?"
"No, as long as you keep it clean and rest it as much as possible, it will be fine."
He lets out a long breath of relief, you clear your throat "so, Toothless's tail, where's the rest of it" You glance at the dragons lack of a tail,"in a tree somewhere most probably." Hiccup sighs "we better get you back home. And make sure you rest that leg." You say, helping him slowly stand up "how are we going to get back?" He asks, you call Spear, he lands next to you, you help Hiccup climb on then get on in front of him, Spear lifts of the ground then grabs onto Toothless's saddle, carrying him below, you look over your shoulder "don't worry, Spear has carried much heavier than this, he can get us home."

Back at Berk, Spear gently places Toothless down outside of Hiccup's house, you slide off Spear's back and assist Hiccup down, wrapping an arm around him helping him into his house. He hobbles to the sofa and plops down "you weren't kidding about it being painful." He groans, you don't say anything, taking the jar of green substance, a bottle of water and some cloths "clean it every few hours, if you think it's getting bad, call for Gothi and she'll come look." You explain. Toothless approaches and nuzzles against you, thanking you.
"Can I request to see you instead of her?" Hiccup questions "I suppose, I'm not as experienced as Gothi though." You reply, stroking Toothless's head "I'll go get Gobber or your mum and explain everything. Rest up, Hiccup. I'll see you soon." And with that, you left.
