Furious was an understatement. You didn't know where you were going but that didn't matter you just had to get away. Spear speeds along the sky, he looks up at you and groans sadly, you pat his side and wipe a tear that was trickling down your cheek.
Part of you felt like it was stupid to get so upset over what happened, but that book was important. You think back to Snotlout and how terrified he was and guilt hovers over you. If he had known about what you were reading...if they all knew about your ability, maybe these kinds of things wouldn't happen, they'd be more understanding...maybe more respectful of your possessions.

You were torn, despite being scared to tell your friends it was almost becoming a temptation to do it. But all the cons kept outweighing the pros. You just didn't know what to do. Something was stopping you and it was starting to eat up at you. You were essentially lying to your friends and that's never a good thing. But what else could you do? You'd felt alone for so many years it was hard to believe everyone would accept you, sure Hiccup had but that was probably luck that him of all people found out, the most understanding person ever born, very rare to find.

Spear lands at an island and you hop off taking a long inhale, he nudges your side and coos, you smile and stroke his snout "I'm going to cool off for a bit, I can hear a stream nearby. Don't go too far."
He bounces excitedly and beelines towards the stream. You look around for a good target but nothing was really big enough. You frown and walk further into the forest scanning your surroundings hoping to find something. But the forest itself was pretty bare. You make a swift left turn and end up at the edge of the forest near a cliff edge.
You sit down on the grass, feet dangling over the edge and sigh, you'd calmed down already so shooting now wasn't a thought in your mind, it felt pretty good to not have to blast to feel better, you Huh to yourself, maybe you were in more control than you thought.

"This is pretty far out, even for you." A voice says, you scoff a laugh and lean back admiring the view. Hiccup sits beside you "you sure scared the hair off Snotlout's chest."
"Ew, I don't want to think about that." You scrunch up your nose and he chuckles "but seriously, are you alright?"
"Honestly? I'm pretty chill. Haven't had a blast outburst, just sitting here enjoying the sights, surprised myself really."
"That's good to hear."
He shuffles closer and takes a section of your hair by your ear and starts to braid it "I like braiding your hair, it's so soft and easy to style."
"Makes a change from me doing it."
He grins and continues, focusing as he threads the strands through and around into a perfect plait, he ties it off and lets it's go.

"I'm very aware I need to apologise to Snotlout for jumping him. But he was an idiot and needs to learn what he did was wrong and kinda rude." You say, Hiccup nods "believe me, he feels bad. But the two of you will sort it out. I mean, you already seem ready to forgive him."
"I feel awful for attacking him don't get me wrong, but he ruined something precious to me and that, in reality would piss anyone off." You pause and look at him "even you, and you're a pretty understanding and logical guy."

He chuckles lightly "I'll take that compliment." You roll your eyes and smile, he rests his head on your shoulder looking up at you "so you don't feel like shooting, eh?"
"Not really, which I'm surprised about."
"Amazing!"
"What?"
He crosses his legs "this is progress, you've suppress your urges and look at you! Cool as a cucumber!"
You snort at his comment "cucumber?"
"Oh, uhmm...It sounded better in my head."

You watch his cheeks flush and you giggle "it's very cool."
He rubs the back of his neck sheepishly "you didn't need to come out here and check on me, you know." You say, he arches an eyebrow "you haven't told me to leave though, have you?"
"Noooo." You sigh, he laughs and pulls you to sit between his legs "I know you and can tell when you really want to be alone."
"Kinda creepy."
"Not really. You're a bit like a complicated puzzle, it's hard but when you take the time to learn, it's so easy to understand you and how you work."
You feel your stomach flutter as he hugs you from behind and kisses your cheek. "To be honest, you aren't as complicated as you may think you are."
