They stood there, un-moving, still as palm trees. It was awkward, the air seemed thick and suffocating, neither of them wanting to be the one to speak first, or rather neither of them knew what to say.

Gulf's hands kept clenching and unclenching around the strap of his satchel, his eyes looking up to connect with Mew's every so often before he'd quickly look back down.

Mew stood in the same place, he hadn't moved since opening the door, his posture ridged and stiff as he just stared at him, waiting for him to speak.

And finally after what felt like forever Gulf exhales a short shallow breath, his eyes finally coming up to meet Mew's properly, face showing nothing but awkwardness and hesitancy.

"Can I... can I come in?" He speaks quietly, shifting his weight slightly, clearly nervous.

"Oh-oh, y-yeah. Come in."

He steps aside, giving way to Gulf as he shuffles into the room muttering a small 'thanks' as he walks passed. The tension still thick as Mew comes up behind him after closing the door, taking a seat on his bed while Gulf stands in place.

Though once Mew motions for him to take a seat he moves to the table, sitting in the chair closest to Mew, and once again it falls silent between the two, Gulf still clutching the strap of his satchel tightly.

Finally having had enough Mew shifts on the bed sitting up straight as he looks at the younger male. "Gulf-"

"Look," says Gulf cutting him off, "let's just get straight to the point, I don't want to beat around the bush anymore then I think you do." Mew wanted to scoff, says the one who'd just stood there saying not so much as a word for however long.

"Okay, then let's get to the point. Before, that night at the park, why did you kiss me?" Straight to the point, blunt, just like he wanted.

Breathing in slowly, Gulf's cheeks puff out as he exhales lowly, tongue poking the inside of his cheek. "I, um... well, I'm..." It looked like he was having an internal battle with himself, unsure of how to speak his mind.

So, Mew takes the liberty of speaking his own mind, asking the question that's been clawing at him for an answer. "Do you have feelings for me?"

Gulf's head snaps up, eyes wide as he shakes his head. Mew sighs in relief, though it's short lived as Gulf speaks up. "No, well yes, but not in, in that kind of way." He says warily scratching the back of his head.

"What do you mean?" Confusion swirls in Mew's head as his brows furrow staring intently at Gulf.

"I-I don't, don't have feelings for you in the sense that I romantically like you." He says trying to elaborate further, though he's clearly unsure of his own words.

"Again, what?" Gulf's cheeks light up into a pink hue as he stares down at the ground.

"I don't have romantic feelings for you but, I am attracted to you... physically." His cheeks become an even darker shade of red as he looks anywhere besides at Mew, who's own cheeks have decided to become slightly flushed.

"I'm, I'm not sure what-"

"Oh for the love of god, I want to have sex with you! There, I said it, is that enough of a specific answer for you?" He snaps, and though his words were bold and abrupt his face was still as flustered as before.

Mew again felt himself stiffen. He didn't know what to say to that. When he'd thought of the confrontation he'd have with Gulf this isn't at all how he'd expected it to go down, and he definitely didn't think he'd be having a conversation like this with him.
