Claire's POV

I sprawled myself on the bed upon entering my room. Taehyung was such a handful but I managed to carry him all the way to the couch and even bought some medicines from the nearest pharmacy.

A knock was heard but I didn't bother to look as I was super exhausted. "Claire, don't sleep too late. We have to get up early tomorrow." Mom popped her head inside.

"In what occasion?" I asked.

"We're having lunch with the Kim's family. Haven't you heard? They came back about a week ago and as far as I know, Taehyung has enrolled to your school too."

I immediately shot up from my bed, all my exhaustion vanished at once.

"W-What?" I choked. I can't believe after I came to his house looking extremely worried, I still have to face him tomorrow.

"Just make sure you get enough sleep," she smiled.

"But it's exam week, I want to sleep longerrr," I whined, trying to be reasonable.

"Tsk, as if. You missed your exam today, didn't you? Plus, it's only Friday. You can't be tired," she shook her head. "Just cooperate this once, Claire. We haven't met his family for 3 years," she added before shutting the door close.

But I have met Taehyung...more than once..

I sighed in defeat before lying back down. I had so much worries but my energy was completely drained out that I ended up falling asleep in my school uniform.

"Dad, you promised me to bring back a box of Mie Goreng from Indonesia, right? So hurry and come back!" I exclaimed excitedly while talking with my dad over the phone.

He laughed before replying me back, "I would've flown all the way back to Korea if my business partner here is doing well, sweetheart. Unfortunately, I can't guarantee when will I be back."

"That's okay, you will be buying me food from all the restaurants in Seoul once you're back," I grinned cheekily.

"Anything for you."

After ending the call, I was immediately pulled back into darkness where I could see no doors. Everything was pitch black and the only thing I was able to hear was the sound of an airplane crashing.
