Claire's POV
Is it bad for having the urge to chase away all these guests around me?
I wanted so much to thank them for visiting but in this kind of state, I wanted nothing more than having all this room to myself and getting a minimal 8 hours of sleep I deserved.
"Seo Jun, get your butt of her bed! You'll break it!" Shouted my overprotective mother who was cutting an apple.
He giggled and forced me into a knees-to-chest position by stretching his towering body as he leaned on the footboard for support.
"You must be missing childhood a lot, huh," I chuckled, rolling my eyes. "Back then, you used to do this until I would fall off the bed."
"That's what you get for not taking care of yourself and constantly making the people around you worried. Why claim yourself as a tomboy when you can't even look out for yourself?"
"I never claimed that, Seo Jun," I sighed. "People just call me that out of the blue when all I'm trying to do is be tough for myself. You know, after dad passed—"
Dad.
Why does it feel like I have just mentioned him not long ago? Am I crazy? Is it a part of the memory erased?
I grabbed a pillow and pressed it on my face, growling into the soft cushion.
It had not even been a day and I was already super frustrated whenever something would click in my brain at the mention of certain things or people.
It was like I had an idea but couldn't really trace it out.
Why am I such a weak ass?
"Claire, are you okay?" Uncle approached me with a plate of apples mom had cut for me earlier.
He stabbed a fork into one of its flesh, somehow looking very aggressive while doing that.
Or was it just the side-effects of taking anaesthetics?
Half-smiling, I answered, "Yeah, I'm fine."
"Glad to hear that, my niece. You should rest a lot." He leaned forward and rumpled my hair. "And also, I'm very sorry to hear about what your best friend did. He doesn't deserve you at all."
