We looked at each other a little too long to be just FRIENDS.

열여섯 | BANGTAN PARK

The bus ride was anything but quiet. My classmates and even the teachers, wouldn't let me sleep as they keep on playing a certain music while deliberately raising their voices every time our bus would go onto street curves as if it were their body dancing.

Despite the exhaustion, upon seeing familiar surroundings, I was feeling a great wave of nostalgia to my childhood.

"Bangtan Park! Our school surely didn't choose a wrong campground for us to stay this time," I beamed excitedly, looking out the window.

I have been here before with my family as we spent the happiest times of our lives.

"Do you want to capture this moment?" Taehyung, who was sitting beside me, offered. He looked as if he was also in awe with the scenery.

"Huh? How?" I asked with a puzzled look.

He chuckled before turning towards me. "What do you mean, how? I got this thing with me. Just make it quick and pose anything," he ordered, raising up his camera to my eye level.

"No, thanks. I look ugly," I rejected before he could snap my picture.

"Seriously, Claire, do you have scopophobia or something?"

"I don't!" I retorted. I didn't want him to think I had such thing like camera shyness or whatsoever, so I decided to force a smile as he lifted his camera for the second time. Potato, but whatever.

Taehyung stared at his screen display before blinking his eyes for a few times as he shook his head violently.

Does he really have to unconsciously point out that I looked horrible?

"See, you look one with the view," he grinned unexpectedly.

"Stop trying so hard to cover the fact that I looked like a rigid freak," I sighed before looking away.

I've always hated the idea of taking pictures since I was a kid. It was because either I'd look like a complete dumb, or I just don't know how to act. That was why I didn't have much memories from my childhood.

"You have very low self-confidence, Claire. Try to look up for once," Taehyung sounded frustrated as I had done nothing since before but for self-insulting.

I shot him a look, offended. Of course I had very high confidence— especially when fighting. But things such as taking pictures, I don't do well with that. I'd rather keep every moment in my heart so that I would still able to feel it, even after years.
