then george asked something he didn't expect.

"could i sit on your lap and give you the hug that way?"

such a small thing to do yet it made dream feel so valid.

george hesitantly stood up and made himself comfortable on dream's lap whilst wrapping his legs around his hips, hands around waist and head on his chest.

george had never felt so safe with someone.
so this.
wasn't the hardest thing in the world.
but he still found the difficulty in it somewhere.

but dream was patient with him.
unlike with anyone else.

"i really am sorry dream."
his voice cracked.
then he let out a loud sob.

dream put one arm around his torso and the other clutching his head.
he hates seeing george cry.

hearing the sobs broke his heart a little.

"george listen to me. i forgive you okay? and in every situation i will. i always will okay? please do not blame yourself for anything as both our reactions were human."

george couldn't find his words.
so instead he lifted his head up and looked dream into his eyes.

he was tired but he never to tired to look at the man he fell in love with.

his eyes said it all, causing dream to not need a verbal answer anymore.

"could i hold you a little longer or would you like me to let go?"

"a little longer. please."

"got it."

so there they were.
two soulmates underneath a galaxy with the stars looking over them, holding each other like their life depended on it.

george could still slightly hear dreams heartbeat.

it was a reminder that he was real.

what if he wasn't.

his heartbeat was like a melody made for a happily ever after.

george adored it.

and for that whole night they spend it together.

mostly talking about what happened and how george was just overwhelmed and needed a break and that's part of why he said that.

hoping that pushing dream away would help.

it didn't.

and then eventually they both went home, going to sleep knowing that they had sorted things out.

dream woke up that morning and he couldn't take his feelings for george anymore.

so he wrote them down, like his therapist told him too.

and there he was, violently writing down every single detail of his love for george.

sapnap had even came in a couple of times to make sure he was okay.

but when's dream was done.
it gave him no relief.

he knew that he had to tell george.
and he knew exactly how.
and where.

so he texted george.
'tomorrow. meet me at 3pm. me and you. i'm taking you somewhere, be ready.'

george heard his phone buzz.

dream?

'tomorrow. meet me at 3pm. me and you. i'm taking you somewhere. be ready.'

george was confused.
where was he going?
was it a date?

no.

but he really did want it to be one.

so for the rest of the night he was up thinking of possible ways this could end out.

the only one he likes was them dating.

but that wasn't going to happen.

or was it?

that night he got no sleep.
and frankly neither did dream.

they were both to nervous.
