For the next seven days, Cassy had kind of helped Stefan to get a handle on his cravings. Of course, she couldn't be there all the time since she still had school whilst he was ditching for the time being.

On the 7th of February, he returned. He wasn't perfect (nowhere near it actually) but he was slightly better than a few nights ago. Well, on the outside it seemed like it.

Cassy and Stefan spoke as little about that night as they could, neither really wanting to have a deep conversation about it. The witch decided to leave that to Elena.

Speaking of, it wasn't even a second after the duo got out of the car that Elena joined them.

"Nice car," Elena smiled.

"Thought it was a waste to leave it in the garage."

The couple kissed and Cassy took this moment to take her leave, not offering a goodbye as she made her way inside of the school building.

Cassy rested her head on the palm of her hand as Alaric droned on about their curriculum. He tried to make it more interesting by sprinkling a few jokes in between the boring information, but half of the class was dosing off.

Mystic Falls really took Founder's Day a bit too seriously, even changing a weeks of school work to centre around it.

The teacher was interrupted by a particular little newbie witch entering the classroom. The same witch who had disappeared for a few weeks after her Grams died.

Cassy straightened up slightly.

"Sorry I'm late," Bonnie said awkwardly.

"Well, it looks like we will be at full occupancy today," Alaric smiled "Welcome home, Bonnie."

Bonnie sat down and smiled at Elena. Stefan tried to smile at her as well, but it only made the witch turn her head.

This made her make eye contact with Cassy, who nodded her head in greeting.

They had a sense of understanding and respect, like an alliance.

"Hello Bonnie," Cassy greeted politely as she passed by Bonnie's locker.

Bonnie smiled in response.

"How was your..." Cassy paused, trying to find a way to word it "leave?"

The Bennett witch bit her lip as she grabbed some books from her locker.

"It was okay, we're all kind of dealing. I did work on some magic though."
