Some cry in tears: others with thoughts

-Octavio Paz

----------

Cassiopeia was beginning to see a pattern of Stefan knocking on the door to her bedroom, coming to her because of a problem. It was becoming rather tiresome, especially considering the previous day when she was shot five times. Cassy was considering charging Stefan per hour.

It was supposed to be a relaxing day, no school as she skipped (very scandalous) and no supernatural drama. Cassy was writing down ideas for potions. One that she based off of liquid luck, where if you drink the potion you get some added confidence or charisma. If her ideas worked, then she could sell the potions for quite a lot.

Quiet music travelled around her room, setting up a nice and peaceful atmosphere. Away from danger and chaos. After being fed vampire blood, Cassy didn't want to risk dying and turning into one of them.

But it was all ruined when a knock interrupted the relaxing mood. Already knowing who it was, Cassy opened the door with a wave of her wand. She didn't bother looking towards the door, just continued writing down the possible ingredients for her potion.

"Damon has Elena."

"How unfortunate," Cassy hummed, not displaying any form of concern. She was tired annoyed and definitely didn't want to join Stefan in another of his wild hunts.

Stefan took no notice and began pacing in her room. Realising that he wasn't going to leave her alone, Cassy huffed and closed her journal. She turned to face him with a raised eyebrow.

"She saw the picture of Katherine, and ran off." Stefan ran a hand through his hair, an extremely troubled look on his face.

"Where does Damon come into all of this?" She questioned instead of making a sarcastic retort on the lack of communication between the couple / not couple. They were always on and off that Cassy never knew which one they were.

"I don't know, he had her phone and when I asked to speak to her he said that she didn't want to speak to me,"

"So, she is not in any immediate danger?"

"I don't know!" He snapped, making Cassy raise her eyebrows. She wasn't hurt by his slightly harsh tone, simply surprised. Stefan was kind of laid back (in a brooding 19th century vampire sort of way) and didn't often raise his voice. He took in a deep breath to calm himself.

"Can you find her?" He seemed so hopeful, Cassy almost felt bad for bursting his bubble.

"It seems to me that you are just being paranoid," She retorted. Stefan opened his mouth to defend himself, but Cassy put up a hand to stop him "Besides, it is not as easy as that."

"You did it with Vicki," Stefan pointed out. Cassy glared at him. He seemed to think that magic was this simple thing and all she had to do was wave her wand and voila, done.
