Tygr PoV
I closed my eyes for a small while after Thorin left. Then...it came back to me. I jumped out of the bed and sprinted out the door. I slid across halls and ran to the treasure room. I saw Thorin patrolling while the others looked. "Wait a minute!!!!!! You did that on purpose!!!!" I screamed, gaining his attention. "What on earth are you talking about?" He asked turning to me. "You did all that lovey stuff to get my mind off the face THAT THERE IS A DRAGON ATTACKING LAKETOWN AND YOU KNEW I WOULD WANT TO HELP!" I yelled, honestly furious. "Tygr...just go back to sleep. The Laketown people will be fine." He said cupping his hand on my cheek. I felt a growl in the bottom of my throat and smacked his hand away from me. "Don't touch me! I'm going to help them and you aren't going to stop me!" I yelled before beginning to run away. Thorin caught my and and I growled and formed into my fighting form. I looked at him dead in the eye as he backed away. I huffed and ran towards the exi. Suddenly I felt two forms hop onto me. I froze and looked back to see Kili and Fili. "We want to help them too." Kili said. Fili nodded in agreement. I felt slightly thankful that they where coming with me and once again took off towards the water. I formed back into a girl as we got to the shore. Sending Kili and Fili tumbling to the ground. "Wait a second." I said. I looked and saw Smaug circling a town on a lake that was lit up in flames. I placed my hand in the water and in a matter of second Tidel came out. He looked furious though. "Can you take us back to lake town???" I asked worried. "Why is Smaug attacking them?!" Tidel growled. "Well...that may be our fault." Kili said...surprisingly nether of the boys where even fazed by the presence of Tidel. "I will only say this once, never again." Tidel said. "You need to kill Smaug. He is a dark being who cursed that mountain." Tidel said before turning, allowing us on his back. "Oh trust me we know that." Fili said as we all got on. I held onto the horns atop his head and Kili held onto my waist and Fili to his. Tidel looked back at us before shooting off. We held on while going into the middle of town. We snuck onto my dock and Tidel disappeared below the water without a word. "We need to find Bard." I said. "Why?" Kili asked. "That black arrow! He has it doesn't he?" I asked. Fili then looked as though he caught on. "Oh, I know what your thinking." He said before we started running down the boardwalks. We ran to bards house and knocked rapidly on the door. "Bard! Bard open up!!!" I said. Suddenly the door swung open to reveille a red headed even woman, and Tilda. "Tilda!" I said happy. "Who are you?" The elf asked. "I'm Tygr. Where's Bard?" I asked. "Bain and him went to Try and shoot down Smaug! In the tower." Tilda said. I looked back to see Smaug breathing fire over by where the inn where where staying is...or was. "I'm going to go find him." I said. "I'm coming with you." Fili said. I nodded. "Kili, you stay here and protect Tilda and find her sister." I said. Kili looked saddened but didn't argue. I then ran off with Fili on my tail.
I stopped and looked back at Fili, "won't Thorin be mad that you two came with me?" I asked. Fili smirked, "I think he'll be more mad that you left." He said. I sighed then turned and shrieked as I came face to face with an Orc. Fili shoved me and decapitated it. He tossed me another sword. "Keep your guard!" He yelled. I turned and sliced through yet another Orc, cutting it in half. We did this for quite some time back to back before we finally saw a clearing to the tower where Bard supposedly was. I froze hearing a loud thud and crushing and snapping sound behind me. "Hello again, wolf girl." Smaug's deep voice sent shivers down my spine. I watched him open his mouth, a blaze forming in his throat. I froze waiting to be burned to a crisped before suddenly a massive shot of ice was shot down his throat, and Fili and I where picked up by two white claws. I looked up and saw Echo, looking at furious as ever. "Echo!!!!" I screamed happily. I liked down at Smaug who was choking and hacking on ice. I suddenly saw Tidel jump from the water, wrapping his snake like body around Smaugs throat, dragging him under the water. "Hell yeah!!!! Water and ice dragons for the win!!!" I cheered. Fili cheered beside me. Echo flew us to the tower where Bard was looking shocked. "Bard!" I said as I jumped and landed on the side of the wall, holding onto the railing, Fili beside me. "What happened to him?" Smaug said astonished. "A water dragon who lives under your town dragged him down. Suddenly the tower shook. I looked down and gasped in horror...Tidels bloody and scorched body floating to the surface lifeless. "NO!!!!!!" I screamed as I tried to jump to him before Fili caught me at my waist. I watched Smaug burst from the water and into the sky. "ILL KILL YOU!!!!!" I screamed before kicking myself from the tower, grabbing one of Fili's longer swords and swung onto Echos back. I steered her towards Smaug who was still recovering from being under water for so long. I steadily stood up on her back, keeping my balance. When I saw my chance I ran up Echos neck and lept from her head onto Smaugs back. I held onto the horns on his back. "HOW DARE YOU!" He bellowed before beginning to fly alarmingly fast. I squeezed my thighs and held onto him as tight as possible. He suddenly corkscrew dived out of the sky, making my stomach turn inside out. He stopped, I could tell he was dizzy as well. "You," I panted. "You killed my lovers people! You stole his kingdom! You hurt my best friend!" I screamed as I climbed up his neck to his head. "But worst of all you killed one of your own kind!" I screamed as I pulled out the sword I took from Fili. "Smaug, you have a price to pay for the desolation you have caused." I said as I raised my sword. "I will never allow you to hurt anyone ever again, even if it means risking my own life." I said before growling and stabbing the sword right into his head. "H-h-how..." I heard him stammer in shock from the fatal blow. "How did I know that dragons scales are as defenseless as a leaf?" I asked. "That would be because I have a dragon. I pay attention. Also animals intuition." I said before suddenly I heard him growl in pain. I looked and saw the black arrow lodged into his chest. I suddenly held on as Smaug began to rapidly fall from the sky. I screamed and jumped off of him, feeling a sharp pain in my side. I cried, now flying free fall through the air. "ECHO!!!!" I screamed. Suddenly Echo dove below me and Fili riding upon her back caught me. "Fili..." I said looking at him. Though I was so close his features where blurry. We stopped and picked Kili up, who had managed to find Tildas sister and keep her safe. "W-wait!" I screamed as we began to fly away from the town. "Get Tidel! Don't leave him there!" I cried. Echo dove and gently lifted the water dragons corpse out of the water and carried him safely to the shore. I fell off of Echos back and ran to where she had laid him down. "Tygr..." He said. "T-Tidel! Your alive!" I said utterly shocked. His eyes where glazed over...his end was near, that much was obvious. "No...no you can't die! Echo can't you help him?!" I asked panicked. Echo looked down shamefully and shook her head. "What about your beads?!" Kili asked. I covered my mouth and shook my head as tears fell down my face. "Those only work on people...not animals." I choked.
Thorin PoV
I stood angrily watching the company searching for the Arkenstone. I suddenly heard a loud high pitched cry. "That sounds like Tygr!" Bofur said. My heart pounded in my chest and I ran through the halls with the company behind me. "Tygr?!" I yelled. Suddenly Kili and Fili appeared through one of the hidden doors. "Uncle, Tygr needs our help." Fili said. "Is she hurt?!" I asked. "N-" Kili started but was cut off. "Yes she is, but she's not worried about that right now." Fili said before running leading us out to the shore. I stopped in shock, seeing my beloved hugging the massive head on a snakelike dragon. "W-wha-" I started. "That's Tidel...he was fatally injured trying to drown Smaug...who Tygr killed personally for killing him." Fili said. I watched Tygr sob against his blue scales. I looked at the dragon more closely, he had large cuts and scorch marks all up and down his body. Even some chucks of flesh where missing. "P-please don't go..." I heard Tygr sob. I then realized that the dragon had already passed on. I felt my heart ache for Tygr. I kneeled down and placed a soft hand on her back. She lifted her head and looked at me. Her cheeks where red and puffy and her eyes where red from crying. She looked at me, "C-can we burry him?" She choked out. I didn't have the heart to go against her wishes. I nodded, "we will burry him right away." I said. She nodded and went back to her earlier position, hugging and gently petting his head.
As Tygr stayed there, the rest of us, even myself quickly dug a large hole. Easily big enough for the dragon. "Tygr, it's ready." I said. She looked as though she couldn't tear herself away from him. She reluctantly stood up and looked up at Echo, who had an equally sad look in her eye. "Be careful with him..." She said quietly. Echo nodded and floated above him, lifting him up and setting him down into the large hole. His head was rested nicely at Tygrs end. She kneeled down as Echo landed back beside her. "I know I only knew you for a short while...but you where one of the bravest dragons I will ever hope to meet, and wherever you do...I hope you are happy." She said before kissing his head. She stood silently as the company began reburying him. I watched her small form begin to shake. "Tygr..." I said, her response was suddenly turning around and hysterically sobbing into my chest. I felt her fingers dig into my back as she held onto me tightly. "It's okay...he's in a better place now." I said kissing her head. She nodded and continued crying. I lifted my hand feeling a warm liquid. I looked at it to see it was covered in blood. "Tygr!" I said tearing her off of me and looking at her side to see a massive gash, gushing blood. I looked into her eyes concerned to see them glazed over and non-responsive. "Gloin! We need to fix her quickly!!" I yelled before pressing my hand against the wound and ran back into Erebor with Gloin behind me while the others continued to finish the burial.
