Tygr POV

I opened my eyes and popped up. I looked around me to see loudly snoring dwarves. "You guys sound like horns..." I muttered. I stood and stretched my limbs out. I walked around the now dead fire and looked at Thorin. He was sound asleep, drooling a little. I giggled and stood. I looked around us and saw the lake. I walked over to the shore of the water. "I hate water..." I said. I looked around and saw a patch of snow near the wall where the waterfall flowed. I smiled and ran over to it before stepping into the cold refreshing snow. I walked around in it until my foot hit something. "Wha?" I squatted down and dug around. Inside the snow I found a large looked egg. "Whoa! It's so pretty!!!" I squeaked in happiness. I lifted it up, it was rather large but small enough to carry, I suddenly noticed the necklace I had around my neck with a crystal at the end...began glowing...odd. I found it in the troll cave and thought it was pretty...so I took it. "Tygr! Where are you?!" I heard Fili yell. "I'm over here!" I yelled back. Fili came jogging over and looked at me. "Don't wander off like that, it's not safe!" He said. "Yeah yeah understood but look what I found!" I said holding the egg up to him. "W-what is that?!" He asked. "No idea~" I sang. "Let's ask Gandalf!" I said before carrying the egg in one arm and taking Fili's hand with my other. We walked over to Gandalf who was still asleep. "Pssst, Mr. Gandlaf?" I asked poking his face. He opened one eyes and sighed. "What is it Tygr?" Gandalf asked. "What's this?" I asked holding the egg to his line of sight. He opened his eyes again then sat up wide eyed. "Oh my...where did you find this?" He asked. "Over in a pile of snow by the waterfall. Can I keep it?!!" I asked. "Well, since you've touched it your going to have to." Gandalf said. "Yay!!! What is it?" I asked perking my ears up. "Well, this is a dragon egg Tygr." Gandlaf said. "W-what?! There's no way Thorin will let her keep that!" Fili said panicked. "Well he can't say anything. Once it's born it will follow Tygr everywhere she goes. She's left her mark on the egg." Gandalf said. "W-what? I'm not ready to be a parent!" I said panicked. Gandalf laughed and ruffled my hair. "Don't you worry Tygr, I will help you." Gandalf said. I nodded slowly. "What's that?" I flinched hearing Thorin's voice behind me. "...well..." I said. "It is an egg Thorin." Gandalf said. "What kind?" He asked suspicious. "Oh don't you mind that. I don't know so we will find out when if hatches." Gandalf said. I looked at him confused. He glanced at me then back to Thorin. "Okay. Get ready, we're leaving soon." Thorin said pointing at me. I nodded fast. I turned to Gandalf after he left. "Why didn't you tell him?!" I asked confused. "Because he would dispose of it. Now, you two need to keep quiet about what's inside that egg." He said looking at Fili and I. "Can I tell Kili?" Fili asked. "Tell me what?" Kili asked coming us. "That I found a dragon egg~!" I said before slapping a hand over my mouth. "What?! No way! Lemme see!!" Kili said excited. I showed him with a wide smile on my face. "That's so cool!" Kili said. "Right?!" I asked. Gandalf sighed, "alright, what's inside that egg stays between us four alright?" Gandalf said. We all nodded and went off to pack. I held onto my egg and looked at it. "I hope your nice...that way we can be best friends and when this is all over we can go on adventures together!" I said smiling. I then realized I had had to carry it the whole way. "Here Tygr, I thought you might need this." Kili said coming up to me. He wrapped come cloth under my arm, across my chest and above my shoulder. "Here put the egg in there." He said. I layed the egg inside the cloth and it was cradles perfectly. "Cool! Thank you!" I said. He smiled and ruffled my hair.

We continued our journey, Kili, Fili and I walked together in the back with Gandalf. "When do you think it will hatch?" Fili asked. "Quite soon actually. Could be today for all we know." Gandalf said taking a drag from his pipe. "Yay!!!" I cheered. "Your going to be the coolest dragon ever." I whispered. "What if it kills us?" Kili asked. I looked up at Gandalf. "If you train him or her right then that won't be a problem." Gandalf said. I nodded. "Then I will be the best parent ever!" I cheered, thrusting my fists in the air. "Yeah!" Kili cheered, Fili just laughed.

*time skip of about two days*

Thorin POV

We continued our journey endlessly, waking until nightfall. I noticed Tygr was slowly becoming bigger. I also noticed her hair becoming darker, closer to the black shade she had before. "She's aging fast." I said looking at Dwalin and Balin. "Yes, she is. Hopefully she will be back to normal in a couple days. From what it looks like now she's a teenager." Balin said. I glanced at Tygr once again, she had grown taller, her facial features becoming more mature...as well as her body. Though she was looking at that egg again. "Ughhhh hatch already!!!" She whined. I grinned and shook my head. "Hey Thorin!" She yelled. "Yes?" I asked. "How long do eggs take to hatch?" She asked. "Depends on the egg." I replied. "Oh, okay. Thanks!" She said. I nodded.

We walked for a while until we found a rest spot. Bofur started a fire and Bombur made food. I couldn't help but look and see Tygr and Kili getting along and noticing how close they've become. "What where you expecting? She's a teenager."

Bofur said. I sighed and rolled my eyes. "I guess." I said watching her pull out one of her shirts. "Hey Fili let me borrow your knife!" She said. Fili handed her the weapod and she cut the sleeves and the neck of the shirt, as well as making it shorter. Bilbo had let her borrow some of his pants and she tightened them to fit. She tossed on the shirt, it actually fit for the most part. I small slit of her stomach was showing. "Cool!" She laughed. I grinned, "now what are you going to wear when your back to normal?" I muttered before going to lay down and falling asleep.

Tygr POV

I looked over at Thorin to see he had gone to sleep. "Huh, he went to bed really early." I said before looking at Kili. "Yeah, I don't really know what to say to that." He laughed. "Here ya go, eat up!" Bofur said with a smile as he handed up bowls of stew. "Cool thanks!" I said before starting to eat. I glanced at Kili and swallowed my food. "So, question" I said. "Hm?" He said looking at me with a mouth full of food. I giggled, "so, after Fili would you become King?" I asked. He shrugged, "I think so, unless he had a son. Then his son would become the heir." He said. I nodded, "well thats cool. Until then you at least get to stay being a complete dork!" I laughed. He smiled and playfully shoved me. "Hey! I'm a lady you don't shove ladies!!" I said laughing. "You arnt a lady!" He said dodging my hit I swung at him, he grabbed my arm and pulled it to the side and looked at me in the eyes. "Jerk!" I laughed. "Come on let's go look around." He said pulling me up. "Ohkay." I said. I glanced back at my egg and hid it underneath a blanket. "Stay!" I whispered pointing at the egg. "It's an egg it can't move!" Kili laughed. "You don't know that" I said with a smile before running after the dwarf prince.

"Where are we going?" I asked as we walked across a fallen tree. "Don't know, just walking." Kili said ahead of me. "We probably shouldn't go to far away from camp. Thorin might get mad...no Thorin will get mad." I said. Kili laughed and shook his head, "why do you always worry about what he thinks?" Kili asked. I stopped. "What do you mean?" I asked crossing my arms. "Well your always worried if he would approve or not or is he would do that or if he thinks it's safe. I don't get it." Kili said turning to look at me. "Do not!" I said. "Do to." Kili said with a smirk. "Absolutely not! I just...I don't know...I don't want to be on his bad side." I said. "Huh, give it time and you won't care at all. Just like before." He said though muttered the very last part. "What was that last part?" I asked. "Doesn't matter, come on let's go back." He said. I nodded and started to walk back. Kili walked beside me, glancing down at me from time to time. I kept my eyes on the ground, not wanting eye contact. Suddenly I felt him grab my hand. I didn't say a thing, nor did I pull my hand away. I wasn't sure what to do honestly.

We came back to the camp...and my heart froze. "What's wrong?" Kili asked looking at my pale face. "T-the egg..." I whispered. There was the remains of a cracked eggshell and no beast around it. "We lost a dragon..." Kili muttered. Suddenly I felt something scratch my leg. I flinched and looked down behind me. There on the ground was a small white dragon, with icy Violet eyes. "Awe...hello little guy" I said kneeling down to look at it closer. It looked up at me with wide eyes. It was beautiful, "are you a boy or a girl?" I asked myself. "It's a girl." Gandalf said behind me making me jump. "H-how do you know?" I asked. "Her eyes, their wide. Male eyes are narrow when they are babies." He said. I nodded. "Well you a pretty girl arn't you?" I said. "Aren't you?" It squeaked back. "Did you just talk?" I asked. "Just talk?" It squeaked back. "Hahaha it's echoing you!" Kili laughed. "Huh...Echo...I like that." I said. "Like that!" She squeaked. "Alright...your names Echo!" "Echo!" It squeaked. I laughed and nodded. "You need to be quest though! Shhh!" I said holding my finger to my lips. She nodded and didn't say a peep. "We gotta hide you from Thorin...for now. Come on echo!" I said standing. "Echo!" She squeaked loudly. "Shhhhh!!!!" I panicked.
