Jackson, Hall of Heaven, Palace Cubitum, 1:18am
The cold winter wind thrashed at his hair and howled through the open hall. Above him, silver, white and gold clouds were painted on a sapphire sky. This hall made him mad.
The carnage of dead bodies and bullets were the only indicator of a battle. The bruised lay still, knowing if they spoke, Lord Killigan wouldn't hesitate to end their lives.
"I am very impressed Jackson," Lord Killigan said. "You managed to, not only bring them all to me, but also make them trust you. You must enlighten me one day."
"If you never show your true feathers they have no reason not to trust you," Jackson simply replied.
"So smart for your age," Lord Killigan muttered as he gazed at the black horizon.
Thanks, it's called having a stupid brother.
Stop thinking about him, Jackson.
Jackson scowled at the thought of his twin, the twin that wouldn't stop. He hated it. He hated Jasper so much it stung more than the bullet wound in his shoulder.
"Now, what to do next, Jackson, what to do next," Lord Killigan muttered again.
The sight of his wingless back used to make Jacksons knees weak, now he sees it as a sign of strength.
"My only guess is that the crow, Lyn, is taking them to a shelter she knows from her time in the Murder, she never gave any specific details, but I have a few Sector areas in mind," Jackson said, voice as monotone as he could make it.
Lord Killigan turned, his dark blue eyes raked over Jackson. He looks so much like Kai. Lord Killigan regarded him for a few more seconds, falcon eyes trained on him.
"Not yet, we won't hunt them down yet. Let them have hope for a little while. I have a few things for you to do," Lord Killigan said as he walked around the open Hall.
"Like what sir?" Jackson asked, he rejoiced in the fact of not seeing his twin anytime soon.
"Oh, all in good time Jackson, all in good time."
