Place unknown, time unknown.
"I want him dead! Do you hear me? I want his head on a platter, I want to watch his mother cry as I tear him apart! If he sees the sun set at the end of next week, I swear he will watch me burn this city to the ground."
The cavern surrounding the group amplified his voice, sending it echoing around the chasms. His rage flowed off him in droves, his breathing was ragged as he barley kept his anger in check.
"You," he turned and pointed to the closest solider. "See to it that he is at my feet in chains by the end of the week. Preferably alive, but critical condition is fine as long as medics keep his heart beating."
The soldier nodded, bowed and took off in a sprint. The rest kept their eyes on the floor or at the echoing ceiling, none of them daring to glance at their leader.
One brave cadet cleared her throat to speak, "And the rest of us, sir?" She looked down immediately, regretting her actions.
Their leader turned and regarded his loyal foot soldiers, "You, my treasures, are free to cause as much chaos inside the citadel as you please," they all smiled wickedly in response. "But if any of you, I mean any single one of you, get caught, I'll rip your eyes out and drown you myself."
The silence they gave him made his face split in a sickening smile. He turned and faced the black void ahead of him.
"My dear prince, I'll see you once again and hopefully, I'll be the last thing you ever see."
