Chapter 55

"Now now kids let them have rest." yudhistir said. "No! We want to play with him!" the kids demanded. "He was born just few minutes ago." nakul said. "Abhi, thanu, prati you guys are eldest right. Understand." arjun said. "NO!" the kids said firmly. "Arjun though they are the eldest they are still kids. Let them be." karn said. "But our son was just born few minutes ago. He must be sleeping." shahadev said. "Sleeping? Did any of our kids sleep after their birth? Till now did any of the kids not go on draupadi?" karn said. "See pitashree too is saying." abhimanyu said.

"If not us then at least let vrishasen, chitrasen and satyasen they are their siblings." prativindya said. "And us as well as we are their siblings." suthanu said sheepishly making the pandavas shake their head except for karn who was smiling brightly to them in approval. The kids went inside to see their mother lying tiredly with her eyes closed while her left hand was around her newborn in a circle and her right lightly patting her newborn's stomach who was fully awake staring at his mother with awe and amusement.

"Maiya!" the kids voice rang with excitement cracking a motherly smile on draupadi's face making her open her eyes and signal them to come in and they ran and threw themselves on the bed and hugged their mother. "Sowry" the twins said. "Why?" draupadi asked confused. "Yw wre scweming in pain." chitrasen said. "As elder brothers were are sowy from chotu's sidw." satyasen said. Tears were glistening in the twins eyes and hearing their cute voice and adorable voice pain couldn't help but disappear and let a smile welcome and a chuckle pass. "My twin diamond grew up really fast." draupadi said wiping their tears.

"Even in our turn you must have screamed in pain." vrishasen said guilty. "Yes we both heard even before." suthanu said. "I heard even when thanu was born." abhimanyu said. All the kids suddenly went all gloomy and dressed making draupadi slightly chuckle at their silly cuteness. "Its not! To get something we have to go through something. See that pain was not even worth of my precious kids." draupadi said. "Really?" the kids asked and the newborn did ha in his baby voice gaining all the attention. "See even this newborn agrees." draupadi said and all the kids gave their full attention to the newborn who was quite enjoying it to his fullest as well.

"Didn't our kids abit too much at such a young tender age?" bheem said making the nod and agree. The kids then left and draupadi started preparing the bed as it was soon night until somebody caught her hand. "Hey! Hey! What do you think you are doing? Take rest and let me do." karn said making her sit on a sofa with their newborn as he prepared the bed and did everything and carefully escorted the mother son on the bed. Karn then brought the food and started feeding himself and draupadi.

"Priye?" bheem called. "Yes arya?" draupadi answered. "Dushala is coming back with laxman and laxmanna." bheem said. "Laxman and laxmanna? When?" draupadi asked. Joy was clear in her voice as her favorite kuru nephews were coming. "After three prahar." bheem said. "I will go and make every necessary. Till then arya please take care of sushena, if he cries then please call me." draupadi said. "Sure but don't work too much you gave birth few hours ago." bheem said caressing her head making her nod.

"Dasi! Bring the needed ingredients to make Sondesh and Misthi Doi (laxmanna's favorite), Rasmalai and Langcha (laxman's favorite) and raj bhog. Make pav bhaji, shahi paneer, naan,.....(everything laxman and laxmanna's favorite)" draupadi instructed.

"I can already smell the sondesh, misthi doi, rasmalai, langcha and raj bhog made by kakimaiya from here." laxman and laxmanna said making dushala chuckle. "We haven't even reached Indraprasth and you can already smell?" dushala asked chuckling. "Not only that we can smell all the kakashree's jealousy as well." the twins said making dushala chuckle knowing it was true and it was true. Draupadi who was giving all her attentions to her children and the kitchen was making her husbands jealous. 

"When are they coming?" nakul whined. "And when is she going to at least spare a glance at us?" arjun added. "First let them come, eat, complete your work then I may spare a glance." draupadi said entering with the food and keeping on the table. "Arya? Where is sushena?" draupadi asked. "He is in his cradle survi and dhara are taking care of him along with the kids." bheem said. "Now where are you going?" yudhistir asked. "To feed the children where else?" draupadi said. "You also eat." karn said. "After all of you finish I will don't worry. Now I will go they must be hungry som has already started clinging to me while sulking he must be really hungry along with the kids." draupadi said and moved towards her children's chamber in a hurried pace.

"She does alot for us. She agreed to marry a brahman not knowing it was bhrata arjun, agreed to be eloped, agreed to be divided among us six men just to keep our mata's respect and order and not to separate us. She gave us our precious children, she is the last to sleep but the earliest to wake up. She takes care of us, our children, even the das, dasi and soldiers. She fulfills the role of a wife, mother, sister, sister-in-law, kaki, masi, daughter, daughter-in-law, friend, kulvadhu, queen, samragini everything fully without any complains perfectly." shahadev said making the rest agree. They felt really proud of their wife.

"Who thought that little girl who used to steal makhan at 2 am with her brothers from their own house would be the chakravarti samragini of the whole aryavrat." karn said making everybody chuckle. "One who is still a kid is the mother of our children." bheem added. "We should have known that when we first met her. I still remember a small, beautiful girl sitting under a tree thinking how to pluck the mangoes. And when she finally got it she got it only for her family not herself and asked us if we wanted." arjun said. "What good deed did I do in my past life to get her as my wife?" nakul wondered. "I must have done tapasya for ages." shahadev said. "She isn't worth for any kathor tapasya. She is priceless." yudhistir commented.
