10: Consolation

~ 6:00, Dorm room ~

~ 3 weeks later ~

It's been three weeks, and to be honest, it's been three peaceful weeks. No disturbance, no distraction, and I love it this way. Chaeryoung and Bae, after college started, went up with their cheerleading team. I have no idea about the fact that cheerleaders still exist after high school, but they do here, at least. Boys went up with their same old stupid shits like annoying teachers, throwing parties, making out anywhere and everywhere.

Especially Jungkook, after rejecting him for days, he finally gave up on me, good for me, and went up with flirting with all the other girls, who were actually interested. I am free now. Even though I felt kinda strange, but I indulged myself in work. And never thought about it again.

As for Joe, he found his little group of transfer students from states or other English-speaking countries. I am happy for him, and as per Jessi, I never saw her after that second day of trial classes. Maybe she is also with her group of people like her. She is gorgeous, so yeah, of course.

Lastly, as per your beloved me, I am back to focus on my studies and future and not give two fucks about anyone around here. Neither do they. I am happy and okay with this arrangement even though, at times, I feel lonely, like group projects or lunches, etc., but that doesn't affect me in any way.

"Hey, you're back." I am greeted by Cae as soon as I enter the room. For some reason, I feel like they only hang out with cool people and are nice to me because I am their roommate, but I don't let it bother me.

"Ah, yes. Math took time today." I smile, throw my bag on my bed, and sit on the vacant one. I lay back and groan softly.

"Hard day, I see," I chuckle at her statement and hum in response. "Wanna go out tonight?"

"Can't," I say and sit up again. "First, it's Monday. Second, Weekly tests are up in two days, and the syllabus for it is hectic," I give her reasons for my denial.

"My gosh, you should stop stressing." She suggests and gets behind me to massage my shoulders. Not gonna lie. I like this. As she rubs my shoulders, I groan softly, feeling the muscles relaxing. "What about this. After your crazy busy ass week, we'll do a party?" I am about to reject it again. Because after one party, a douche bag was after me for a legit week. "Great, I take the silence as yes." But I am too late.

"You answered it yourself," I whisper to myself and shut my mouth. I shrug it off and focus on the massage. "By the way, shouldn't you be out?"

"Oh, I didn't feel like going," she says, and I gave her a thumbs up. Suddenly, the door burst open, making us jolt back. "Jesus!" I mutter and see a messed-up Bae. "What happened?" We both make our way to her, and she shuts the door loudly.

"Bae, you okay?" Chaeryoung asks Bae. She nods and makes her way to her bed. She wraps herself in the blanket. "Was she on periods?" Chaeryoung whispers to me

"How would I know?" I whisper her back.

"Yeah, how would you know." She says, and we both walk to Bae. "What happened?" Cae hugs Bae while Bae groans in annoyance.

"Leave me, guys," Bae says in a melancholy tone.

"Well, after your act, we can't..." I say lowly, not sure if I should indulge in it or not.

"Of course! Come on, tell us," Cae jumps on Bae, irritating her until she sits up and looks at us.

"Okay, stop!" We both sit in front of her, all ears to her. She starts with a deep sigh, "So, he cheated on me... again. I'm so stupid to give another chance to that dickhead." Bae says and holds her head in her hands.

"What? Aren't you supposed to break up after he cheats on you?" I ask because I have never had such an experience.

"I was too blinded by love. I thought he would change. But I can't blame him when I am so stupid!" Bae says while cursing herself. I don't know what to do, so I just hug her, and she burst into tears on my shoulders. My palm caresses her smooth hair while she sobs loudly.

"Calm down. It is not like you're the idiot when he couldn't see your love. You are the best, okay? Just calm down, he doesn't deserve you and you for sure deserve much better than some idiotic cheater, okay?" She nods on my shoulder while crying her heart out. Her hands wrap around my shoulder as she hugs me tightly. "It is okay. Just calm down. You shouldn't cry over someone useless."

The door opens, I want to see who it is, but Bae holds me really tight that I can't. "Guys?"

"Bae, are you okay?" I hear many masculine voices, knowing who all have arrived. Bae just shakes her head, still crying on my shoulder.

An arm extends and caresses her head. By the tattoos, I know it is Jin, "Hey, look up." He says in a soothing voice. Bae looks up with swollen eyes. "Where he is?" He asks in a dangerous voice.

"What will you do?" I say, being taken away from his words. They look at me. "You can't always use violence as a solution. He wasn't worth your affection and will never be. He was past so let that idiot be in the past. You should leave him and move on." I say, and Bae looked at me with glistering eyes. "He was a waste of time, so you should compensate by taking the rest of the time to focus on yourself, okay?" She nods while listening to me very attentively. I smile and pat her head. "Good," I whisper to her and look at the guys. "You all know this is a girls dormitory?" I ask, and all of them nod, "So don't you know that you can't be here? Out?" I ask them to leave, and all the boys obey my words. I have no idea where I got so much confidence from.

"Wow, that was the coolest thing you did so far," Cae says while admiring. I close the door and look at them after a slight shrug. "Okay, so let's go to a spa?"

"Weren't y'all going to out?" I ask her, and Cae nods. "Good, you should have fun and not cry over a boy," I say, and they smile at me.

"Are you coming too?" Bae asks, but I shake my head, "Why?"

"First, it's Monday. Second, Weekly tests are up in two days, and the syllabus for it is hectic." Cae mocks me on which I just chuckle softly.

"Oh, come on, it's been so long that we three did a party together!!" Bae exclaims. We just did ONE party together.

"Sorry, next time after this week for sure." I lie as always.
