"Hello."

"I miss you already."

Jungkook sighs, making my smile go wider. It hasn't been very long since we both have been with each other.

"And did you tell Jimin to keep an eye on me?"

"What? No, I didn't."

"Then why the hell is he following me and eyeing me the whole day?"

"I don't know why he is doing it, but it sounds entertaining."

"No way, he walked in while I was in the washroom."

"What?"

I loudly laughed while he was ranting and chuckling with me. Imagining Jimin stomping like a small angry Lilliput following Jungkook around sounds funny.

"That's so... Pervy."

"I know. By the way, did you reach without any trouble?"

"Yeah, Taehyung was kind enough to drop me at my doorstep."

"Wish I was Taehyung."

"Shut up, then Taehyung would've been you."

"No, I'm fine here."

He immediately retrieves his words. We start to talk for a while, but it just goes silent. Just silence, not an awkward one but a lovely one. Just like he is next to me, having his arms around me, and we are just cuddling in silence, sweet silence. I am enjoying it. The air feels really comfortable with this silence. He starts to hum his favorite song, making me close my eyes and just listen to his soothing voice.

Everything seems so perfect and magical until my door flings open. "Ray," My dad screams, making me panic.

"Dad, you scared me," I reply at the same pitch. I sprint to him and hug him tight like I was away for years from him. "What's this?" I point at the bag.

"Your birthday present. Sorry, the shop had a little rush today, so I returned late. Let's go out for dinner as your birthday celebration," I nod in agreement. "Get ready quickly?"

"Yeah, I'll get ready after this call, okay?" I point at the phone that's near my ear. He just nods and walks out.

"Sorry, my dad just barged in."

His chuckles suddenly filled my ears.

"I understand. Who would stay away from you for long?"

"Cheesy much."

"But you love it. Also, I was the first one to wish you."

"I know. Good job, Jeon. Is that what you wanna hear?"

"Oh yeah, but one more thing."

"What?"

"Those three words."

"I gotta go?"
