25: Caught

Every single movement stops in the room. Jimin and Taehyung stop tapping on their phone screen aggressively to win the game. Jin stands near the dining table with the tray of breakfast. Hoseok is frozen on the table, don't ask me why he is on the table because I don't know, either. Namjoon and Yoongi are staring at us with wide eyes, pausing their conversation.

Jungkook comes behind me and immediately turns around to not face anyone. "What," Jimin starts. "The," Taehyung continues. "FUCK?" They both finish together in utter shock.

"You know what, I'm not at all amazed by the fact that there was a girl in Jungkook's room. But the fact that Ray was in the room is shocking to me," They all nod, agreeing to Yoongi's words. I bite my lips feeling busted.

"I think we are caught?" Jungkook whispers in my ear, the most stupid sentence. I hit his chest with my fist. "What are y'all doing here? So early?"

"We came back from the club early. We didn't want to drink without you, but..." Taehyung says and trails off. "You were having fun, I guess."

"No, it isn't like that at all," We immediately defend ourselves.

Jin hisses while thinking and grabs all the attention. "Let me guess, Jungkook left the party that day too, to go to you, am I right?" Jungkook and I nod as Jin snaps his fingers. "So, how long has this secret been hidden from us?"

"A week or so..." I trail off, feeling like a culprit. Everyone gasps as Jungkook look away with his hands at the back like a kid, and I have my head down, not able to meet any gaze.

"A week? Jungkook, I thought we were secret buddies?" Taehyung and Jimin whine. We still maintain the silence. "Jungkook?"

"I know, but we decided to keep this a secret," Jungkook says, and both the boys look away, feeling betrayed.

"It is not his mistake. Instead, he suggested telling everyone, but I wasn't ready to let it out. We were about to but not for a while," I fiddle my fingers and take the blame as it is MY fault only.

"So, you two finally got caught," Namjoon chuckles and makes us look at him. "Congrats," I smile at him and gaze at Jungkook, who is very happy about getting caught. "I support."

"See, I told you, we got caught," I hit him again, and he just giggles.

"So, I can't flirt with Ray now?" Jimin asks, and Jungkook drops his arm around my shoulders.

"No," He says sternly, and Jimin sits down with his hands in the air as a sign of peace and surrender.

"Never knew he could be jealous like this," I giggle, remembering why he confessed to me and other encounters as Hoseok mentions it while shivering in cringe. "Whatever, Congrats guys. You look nice together."

"Yeah, we finally have Jungkook's first girlfriend," Yoongi teases Jungkook and lays back down. "Congrats," I look up at Jungkook.

"You never had a girlfriend?" Jungkook waves it off like it was nothing, but he is blushing. "Oh my god, you never?" I chuckle, and he avoids eye contact.

"You are late," He says, and I glance at the clock.

"Shoot," I exclaim. "Bye," I run out after a short pause with Jungkook.

~ 12:00; Lunch hall ~

I walk away from the counter with the tray in my hands, filled with food again. Chaeryoung and Bae are all over me, asking where I was and with whom I spent the night and all, but I just skip it again.

"Ray," I hear Jimin shouting from his table. I see Jungkook glaring at Jimin, but Jimin seems unbothered. "Come sit with us."

I walk to the table. Jin gets up from his seat with some excuse, leaving his place. He was sitting next to Jungkook. I smile at Jin and walk to his spot. I was about to sit next to Jungkook, but Jihee was quick enough to occupy the seat. "Hey Jungkook, haven't seen you around for a long time," I feel the urge to rip her soul, but except for these 6 guys, no one knows about us. "Hey, Ray, right? Sorry, the seat is taken," Her fake accent is forcing me to lash out at her.

"It's fine, Seonbae," I let out a smile. "I'll sit somewhere else."

"I'll get you a chair," Taehyung offers, but I shake it off. I walk past Jungkook, who seems to be annoyed, by the fact, that I am still not letting him call us out. He thinks if his close friends accept me, then no one will dare to oppose us, but who'll tell him they all will trouble me without him.

He sighs heavily and grabs my wrist behind him. I widen my eyes at the hold and look at him. "Why somewhere else?" He says and takes the tray from my hand, placing it in front of him. He pulls me around him to come back to the original spot. He suddenly pulls me on his lap.

All the attention, especially the girls, drops on us. "When your boyfriend's lap is vacant," He smiles at me, whereas I am still in shock with my heartbeat pacing up. The whispering starts in the cafeteria. "You can sit here Jihee, don't need to worry about my girlfriend," My cheeks burn by the stares.

Jihee looks annoyed. She stands up, leaving the chair. "I can sit there..." I whisper, lowly unable to comprehend what just happened. "I—" Before I go, Jungkook pulls me back.

"No need," I shake my head. "It is anyway Jin's seat, and this is your seat," He turns us to six shocked yet proud guys and two clueless and lost girls.

"What," Chaeryoung starts. "The," Bae also starts. "FUCK?" I am having Deja Vu.

"Slap me, please," Chaeryoung asks, and Bad slaps her. She winces in pain and looks back at us. "This is real? Or does it hurt in dreams too?"

"Who all didn't know this?" They both raise their arms up. "You guys knew?" Bae sounds betrayed.

"This morning? Yes."

"Wait, so Ray was with Jungkook last night?" Chaeryoung asks, and I nod lowly. "How long?"

"This secret couple was formed ago a week or so," Yoongi states.

"So that party night..." Bae asks, unsure if I knew about Jungkook's whereabouts.

"Yes, he was with her," Namjoon blurts out, and the girls look at me with raised eyebrows. "These two are really sneaky."

Jungkook has a massive smile on his face while I am just blushing. "Come on, guys, you are making Ray nervous now," He tells them.

"It is you," They fire back. It is true. My heart is blasting because I am sitting on Jungkook's lap in the middle of the cafeteria while others are staring and clicking pictures and whispering.

"Yes," I whisper, and he looks at me. "I think I should get up," I try to convey to him the message while looking around. He stares around and smiles at me. "What?"

"Nothing," I stare at him with curiosity. He is up to something. I can clearly tell that. "But you know what, they don't have much to write on the blog. Like they only have this, Jihee came, and Jungkook took you and declared you his girlfriend. So, I think..." He blurts nonsense and trails off.

"You think?" I ask while he has a mysterious smile on his face. "You think?" I ask again for not getting a response. He grabs the nape of my neck and tilts his head before placing his lips on mine.

My eyes widen in shock. I hear a lot of gasps in the cafeteria with Jungkook's friends hooting and cringing. "Oh my, are you two serious?" I hear Jin screaming. My hands try to move back, but his strength is still like a bulldozer in front of my weak pushes. He doesn't care and kiss me like no one is here.

He soon pulls out to stare into my eyes. "So I was thinking, what if we gave something more to them to write?" He giggles and looks at other clicking pictures. I am in shock that he is so willing to open up at this rate.

I look at others on the table, having their phone up in the air. "Y'all as well?" All of them put their phones away like I didn't notice anything.

"No, it was just," Jimin starts to find some excuses.

"We weren't getting any signal, so," I raise my eyebrows at the lame excuse of Hoseok. He just smiles innocently.

"I never thought you two would ever end up together," Bae says, looking at the screen, zooming in on the pictures she took. "But you two look adorable together," She looks up, having me smiling at her words.

"Okay, I don't think no one is thinking about this, but they kept it a secret from us, betrayed us," Chaeryoung starts to complain at the top of her lungs. "So to make it up to us. You need to give us a big treat, Jungkook."
