~ 16:00; Dormitory ~

As usual, I am peacefully reading my book in silence since both the girls are out. This time, they went out for lunch after college. Slow music is the only voice in the room. I read every word with complete focus until someone brave enough to disturb my peaceful environment called me. It is my best friend, Hyunjae. My smile widens, forgetting the rage when I read the name. "Hello," I squeal loudly since no one is here.

"Hey baby, I miss you so much. You grew up so fast." He starts with blabbering bullshit. He is two years older and lives near my house, and we have been friends ever since he came into the neighborhood, which is like 12 years ago, and I was just 6 then.

"Shut up. By the way, I miss you too. I can't irritate you," I whine, and he chuckles on the other line. "And how are others?"

"They all are fine and just trying to get through their colleges as well," He says, and I pout, knowing they are busy and I can't meet them anytime soon. The friend group I have is the craziest one. Soya and I are the youngest, and others are either a year or two older than us. We all were separated after middle school, but we lived nearby, so we kept in contact, and now I'm the farthest to reach. "Oh, I got a surprise for you. It must be there."

I frown, "What surprise?"

"I send a parcel, go and check," He says, and I take the keys with my jacket since I am wearing a loose tank top with basketball shorts again. I rush out to the place where every student has their parcels. I search for my name and spot the packages. "Got it?" I hum and look inside my box.

"Are you kidding me? You send me food?" I am annoyed because it might have been spoilt if it didn't reach on time.

"Let's eat," He jokes, and I chuckle. "What?"

"Yeah, let me grab my laptop and call you," I say and roam around the area waiting for him to finish the joke. He chuckles as well with me.

"Come out," I stop on my track, froze upon his words. "Ray? Come out,"

"You didn't," I run out to find him in his usual soft color fluffy hoodie with curled hazel brown hair and finishing it with his ripped acid wash skinny jeans over black sports shoes. As soon as I see him on the ground, I get emotional. I miss everyone from my hometown as I am really lonely here. And I have no one to talk to as freely as I do with them. "You jerk."

I run to him and jump on him to hug him tighter than ever. He laughs softly and swings my peanut-sized figure in his arms left to right. My legs are hanging, and my head is in his neck, sobbing. "Oh, my baby is crying," He says with a tease, and don't let me down from his enormous figure. My sobs get muffled in the crook of his neck while he caresses my hair soothingly. "Oh, I didn't come here to make you cry," I chuckle and wrap my legs around his waist, and hug him for the time I missed him.

"I'm not letting you go," I say, but he still makes me stand on my feet, I whine, but it is of no use. "When did you come?" I ask and cling onto his arm with a pout and wet eyes.

"Today," He wipes my cheeks. He puts his arm around me as well. "I heard you aren't coming for your birthday?" I nod with a pout. "Why?" He whines and holds my face in his large hands.

"I have exams," I whine back while holding onto his waist. My pout puffs when he squishes my cheeks. "Let's eat?" I ask with a muffled voice, and he giggles when he hears it. Both of us make our way to the ground. This time I am not alone.

"I have something else too," He says as I put the food on the table. He stands up to take out his phone. "Here," I grab his phone and click on the video. All of my crackheads are displayed on the screen in chaos.

"RAY," They scream my name. "First me. Ray, why did you leave me here alone? They bully me since I'm the only youngest one now," Soya starts, with nothing but complaints, which I doubt. "What a liar. She annoys us and bullies us. It is all the other way around." The oldest one, Haechan, says and looks at her with wide eyes. "You guys shut up, Ray. You got any boyfriend by now?" Another one, Yujin, speaks up, snatching the phone from Soya. "GO BACK," All of them scream at poor Yujin. "Ray, when will you come back? We all miss you so much." My mother comes out of nowhere into the screen. "Come back for some time, please," All of them backbone my mom with puppy eyes making me feel tears forming again. "RAY, I GOT A GIRLFRIEND. YOU SAID I WOULD NEVER," Another crackhead, Sungwoon, screams from the back, making everyone break into a fit of laughter as I giggle with tears dropping onto the screen. "Bye, Ray, We love you," The moment of happiness ended too soon.

"Aww, you are crying again," I give Hyunjae the phone and wipe the tears with a tissue. "You are so emo," He teases me, and I laugh at the pitch he says.

Both of us start to enjoy our food and catch up on things. Since I have been here for over a month and know nothing about my home, family, and friends. I just miss everything so much.

"What about your college life," He asks with excitement as if I was actually having fun. But who will tell him how deep a hole of trouble I have dug for myself.

Entered college got a room with two rebellious girls, met seven men with an intimidating reputation, got myself being chased by one of them to get into my pants, and even let him in. So much exciting, right?

"Well, college and then dorm, college and then dorm, and then-"

"Yeah, I got it," Hyunjae stops me in mid of telling him how good a college life I am having. "Why is your college life so boring, man," He whines, and I giggle before finishing my dish.

"I don't know, but Seoul and you, how?" My curiosity takes over.

"Well, I applied for a few companies here and this week. I have a few interviews with some companies. Just want to get a job and soon settle down."

"Oh, Hyunjae, settling down and then get a girlfriend or wife, and then I'll have niece, WOW," I exclaim. He glares at me with a death glare.

"Wife? Niece? Aren't you looking too far into the future?" I shook my head to irritate him. We clean the place and walk back to the dormitory. "I had so much fun to eat after so long," He says with his hand is around my shoulder protectively. The other one is grabbing onto the strap of his bag.

"When will you go back?" I look up, and he hums while thinking.

"Maybe, in two weeks." I pout while looking up. It is too short to spend time together. He will do interviews as well. We will not be able to meet again. "Don't, your pouted lips won't work," He pinches my cheeks while bending down to my face level. I slap his hands and walk forward. "Ray," He whines behind me. "I am sorry, but I can't."

I sigh and let go of my childishness for once. "Okay," I smile at Hyunjae. "We will meet before you leave," I threaten him, and he agrees with me. "That's great."

I smile widely and hug his waist from the side, and he embraces my shoulder from the side. We walk into the entrance. "Okay, so bye now," He kisses the side of my head. He lets go of me. I watch him go out of the entrance and sigh. I turn around to enter but feel a harsh tug on my arm. Someone pull me from the entrance gate and speed-walk to the back of the dormitory.
